Actually, Burns felt the turning point in his picks was when two of his long-time rivals, One Dart and KNVB, tried taking the piss out of him during the week.

" I don't take too well to people trying to take the piss out of me, especially when they are in no position to do so. These two guys are proven putzes when it comes to picking winners in football, let alone other sports. So I took the OVER/UNDER comment to heart and decided to stuff them. That is exactly what I did."

Burns feels that this will be the turning point in his NFL picks.

"It has been a poor season so far. The biggest problem I have with the NFL is lack of consistency within the teams. This week was supposed to be a tough week according to all the experts, but I proved how my prognosticating skills are generally the best in the business."

Next Saturday, Burns will be hoping to turn his fine form into lots of money at Fraser Downs. He has gone as far as guaranteeing a win on the card.

"If I don't pick a winner for the lads, I will be buying a round for the lads. I will even limit the winner to the first FIVE races, so we can all celebrate the victory together. "
