It's okay.....Mr. Base knows they are just dropping these games because they don't want to go to the BCPL.......right, Mr. Base.

West Van is STILL the best team in the league and will be at the end again.......

good night for westvan at ambleside tonight. lads with their best performance of the year. came out strong and did not let up. 29 with a key save at 2 buzz. it was not delta's night. as things just seemed to go wv's way. good to see delta still enjoying the pints and moonshine as the wv changeroom emptied.

lol my god... from relegation to the super league in one game... you must be a canucks fan too!! :bronco:
Any word on if the games tonight are being played?

Maybe a stretch(we can dream)...but three games actually. And maybe not a fair comparison but the Div 1 Richmond side did exactly that last year. They were 2nd from the bottom with only 3 pts at the end of the first half of the season. They managed to put it together and finish 4th and go on to win the Div 1 cup. So it is possible. A lot will depend on how it goes today providing the game does nt get snowed out.

Went to see a game on Andy Liwingstone today. First half was worm and playable. Second half got much colder. Good day for soccer good result for Croatia. Shity shity game. Three four yad passes over dribling by both sides. West Side was very lucky not to get two reds. Ref worned same two guys three times in first half and also same two guys in second half. Yet he did not give them second yellows. Sometimes you are lucky.
It that was Moricio or any other ref West Side would have played with two men less. Grate goal by Marten from Croatia SC and a good play by Brkich to get a PK in the second half. Late in the game West Side came on and almost tied it uop on a last play in the game.

Surrey 2 Norvan 0
If Norvan could shoot straight they might have gone up 2 buzz. Lucas scored late in the first half, Tyler late in the second. Angus, who set up both, was robbed 3 times times by the keeper.

Richmond 1 Sapperton 0

Sapperton might want to think about turning their premier team into a rugby team. What a fcuking hack show. The keeper was a giant who was a shrimp when it came to toughness. Richmond should have had TWO penalties at least due to the wrecklessness of the defenders on Sapperton. WAB would not have liked the style of 'soccer' which was being played by Sapperton. The better team won on the day and the team who might want to work on their scrums and rucks came out second best. What a goon show. Even two years ago, Sapperton was nowhere near as much of a goon show than they were today. WAB, what is going with the crew? PV? Is that the style of 'football' you want your team playing. BTW, number 10 was the worst player on the field and the biggest whiner. Who is he? Good to see the better team win on the day.

Well done, Richmond. It was nice to finally meet FCN who actually donated a bottle of Jamiesons to the RFC changing room. Classy move, FCN.

Good game by Richmond. Some good defending and solid goalkeeping by young Val who had some big shoes fill. A nice display of quickness and combination play from the young guys Ren, E, and Chase which resulted in the only goal of the game by E. Well done boys, a nice 3 pts.

It WAS a good win for Richmond - and CS is right - the follow throughs after the ball was played by Sapperton were brutal - the ref was a joke today.
FCN your enthusiasm for the youngsters is laudable but lets remember that there are 11 guys on the pitch not 3. There was some very good work being done behind the offensive players today, particularly in the first half. Big red was dominant as usual in the back and the centre mids worked their plums off.

Richmond is set up well for the future IMO - they have a very good group of players under 25 - for those who stayed for the CAT game, they were treated to another good display from that team of possession soccer - 5-2 against an older group of guys who don't lose much.

Its never too wise to get too high or too low - but its been a good end to the winter break.

Cheers to all and merry ho ho ho (one more ho to Tiger?)

Well well old guys from West Van did it to Delta. Somehow it does not look good.
I was told West Van has no money to move up to BC Premier.
I think they are just pulling our leg. Boys must prove the point after doing shity at Nationals. It is all good there is always next time.
It looks like it will go to last two games to see who the top four sides are. I still say Surrey FC Metro Ford FC,Columbus, Pegs,West Van,and maybe Croatia SC will be there. Inter is taken foot off of paddle. Team needs more changes. Fitness is the factor with Inter. They should do better.

I saw that - it's too bad that Wickham and Friends find themselves in this position - helping to make numbers for CAT and then getting hammered like that.

There are probably some U21 teams that could do better - Metro Ford for example - why play against youngsters when you can blood your kids against men? Again - IMO only, U21 works for a year - then move them along.

Cat system does not work. You never know if you are going to have fourteen guys.
Azzi has to put a stop to that. An under 23 league is needed. That way you could have five older guys and rest younger guys. Them older guys could bring younger guys alongalong with a Premier side with it. And next step would be to have a U17 /18 team to feed the U21. Pay the coaches and demend development. That is the only way forward. Youth stays as is till U16. If you have a club system in plase as you have then each senior club must have an U23 side. If they do not form a U23 than send the club to rec league. We have to get serious in changing things in BC in orther to lift the level of development. Every year is the same. Only University kids count as developed players. Senior guys lose their spots and club to club movement is getting worse.

Ha Ha Ha, I would prefer to see Sapp's whole team play tougher. Richmond has too many whiny girls who should be in synchronized diving at the Olympics. Its supposed to be a mans sport, so if the Richmond players can't stand some contact then they should go back to knitting.
If I were a Richmond player I would be pissed at CS for thinking they are too soft and need extra protection. The Richmond CAT team had no problems with two team having a physical game two weeks ago vs Sapp CAT team.

We were whiny? Your little #10 and your GK didn't shut up the whole game!!! Your GK is a huge lad and he pisses and moans when fairly challenged by a player that is 115 pounds soaking wet...same with your #10...starts crying to Miro because our guys are having him for lunch and playing him hard...and then #10 barrels our player over from behind to prove how tough he is?? Talk about little-man syndrome! He was lucky that Miro was in the middle (can't believe I'm saying that ) otherwise he would have been sent off. I will agree with you it's a man's sport...and our guys, especially our younger players, manned-up by putting up with your players butcher tackles and getting the all important goal and resulting 3-points.

A great way to go into the Xmas break with a few wins and a draw on the trot...looking forward to starting up again in January! Wishing everyone a wonderful holiday season with their families!

considering both richmond and sapp play like lumberjacks and employ this wonderful style of hump it up and look for a knockdown, it's quite funny that both are accusing the other of crappy play. football is supposed to have flow, skill, and thinking, something sorely lacking from both sides. it would be nice to see them both look at some real football on the tele and see how defenders are allowed to intentionally pass to their own teamates. even westside tries to play...they may not have the personel, but they try and that's admirable
