WOW

I don't know how, but I hurt Screech's feelings. If you couldn't figure out the hidden message, it was that #7 is a good player...probably the best on the pitch. He burned us for three in the first half, so...figure it out, dumb dumb.

Maybe somebody can tell me how posting that we lost 6-3 was cokcy. More like humbling...we lost to a bunch of punks who have trouble growing peach fuzz.

Reccos- Number aren't a problem anymore, but we'll see tonight at Burnaby.

Dude

Is the great Captain toiling for you along with Screw You? I kinda thought he might be based on their posts about the Stallions.

They are a good young team with some quality players. We had hardly any fouls in our game against them and I felt they played pretty good.

I think Screech simply didn't read your post correctly.

Nope.

Reccos,

Captain isn't playing with us, but I'm sure, deep down, he wishes he were a Royal.;) I think he just has a book on every player in the VMSL. Screw U is though. He was last seen thumping a Stallion with a clean tackle. When said Stallion pulled a Brazilian play act looking for the call (they were all doing a ton of diving and moaning), Srcrew U stood over him yelling, "Get up you little bitch! You're winning 5-1 for fcuks sakes!".

I will say this: the Stallions have some players with skill and ability that should be respected, but their sportsmanship is pretty poor. We took them lightly because all we saw were a bunch of skinny 17 year olds. It didn't take that crew long to make us pay for that. And pay. And pay. And pay two more times.

Have the Stallions played Allouette yet? I'm anxious to see how the battle of the Zit Poppers turns out.
:D

After looking back at old posts that happened while missing in action I found this little quote. Could this Butt-plug be talking about Skytrain? Yes I think so. And after the little kid fell to his ass he asked Alex to "start watching out for him or he will have to take care of things himself". Actually brought a tear to my eye. Ahh the fun and laughs of summer league.

Actually the little boys are a good team as few have said before, but the attitudes are the shits.

They didn't post the wins and losses.

Diggers the team to beat?

I hadn't heard that and I guess when the 96ers were slapping them down 11 to 2 neither had they. :p

But we (Sap B) certainly didn't kill them and we beat the 96ers. It may be that on any given night it depends on who comes out for some teams.

BTW, the game line 515-6065 says to leave an email or fax number for detailed standings. Also it said for teams to phone their scores in after every game!!!!

Skytrain: I am surprised when you say the Stallions' attitudes are bad. We have always found them to be fine and have never had a problem with any of them. I do know that when Alex Bell refs teams like the young guys and MY team always seem to get screwed cuz they don't have beer for this guy and he likes to hang out with the older teams. I don't know if this has anything to do with it or not but Screecher mentions how they got screwed when they played Alex's beloved Bohemians on May 30.

Reccos - I don't know how long you have played in this summer league, but a few years ago Diggers played with all the Slovan guys. They played all year around together (@ that time Diggers/Slovan was never as good as PoCo), Diggers either won or were in the final for at least 3 years in a row.

As for Alex, if you know he favors teams with pints..............

These Stallions, where do they play in the winter?

Skytroll~ I was on that Digger/Slovan team. I believe it was 5 years ago now.... How the time flies. We won 2 of 3 I think. It still surprises me how big of moaners and Wankers Poco were back then. I'm gland to see their standard hasn't dropped.

BTW, Slovan was twice the team Poco was back then, don't fool yourself... fool!

If your looking to sway Alex Pints and a few of the stink'n Cigars always help.

Pardon?

I'm offended! Wankers maybe, but moaners....that was Digger/Slovan department. But it was difficult to hear over Vince whining in the summer and the firecrackers being set off in the winter after a poor Slovan chant. We always did have good battles though.

Not playing on the Diggers anymore?

Do you always join a conversation part way through?

You asked so you must care just a bit.

Back at er: From what I heard the Diggers lost it when Slovan broke up and Vinny went to run the league. Does anyone know who is in charge of the Diggers now?

I have heard the level of the entire league has gone down from 3 years ago on. When I played there it was high paced and there were some quality sides. Games were very much like Valley Premier/Div 1 From what I saw when I was watching the Beer Nazi Dude and his counter parts TheRob and Slappy it was awfully weak. Div 2 Div 3 stuff.

Just a bad game Dude or is that about it?

SFC vs Diggers

I have to say that this game was quite the theatrical one... After three quick goals by the Diggers, the game seemed to go a little smoother for Surrey. A good showing nonetheless.
I would however, like to mention that #11 and #19 on the red side should seriously leave the wooden clubs at home.
These two neaderthals have not the skill nor the temperment to compete in this league.
A shocking case of refereeing also...This clown calls a penalty shot for a red elbowing a Surrey player in the head on a corner, after pointing towards the Diggers goal. Idiot!

But don't worry we all know who # 11 and # 19 are.

KNVB,

What you pretty much saw was a choppy game. It depends on what players you get on game day from each team. I'd give it more like Div. 1-2, depending on the day. We lost 5-2 last night, against a team that Poco City (Rangers) should be able to beat easily. Same with us, if we had a stopper, sweeper, and a couple of more subs. We beat the Rangers (I think 5-1) after lending them three very good players (one, Jordan Piers plays for the University of Florida and would fit in to any league around here). They had 3 subs that day, but not a regular line-up from what I could tell. No Skytrain, Fat Monkey, Bored, or Snowman there.

So...I'd say that if you get the teams when they have full squads coming out, you get better quality. The game you saw was pretty dodgy- I think mostly because we were / are a disorganized bunch right now. Those young Alouette runners (the game you saw) are good, but we should have played a lot better (including me). We should have beat them more like 5 or 6-1, not just 3-1. It also seems some teams take summer a lot more seriously than others. What do you expect? It ain’t the PCL.

The last time I played in the league was 5-6 years ago, and I don't see any real difference. The only player I recognized last night from the old Diggers team was Kevin Woodhall.

KNVB,

I should have probably also pointed out that the game you saw wasn't a fair indication of the other teams. The Bohemians, Sapperton, Stallions, and 96ers all have good players. I think it is safe to say that Sapperton probably takes it the most seriously- them and their funny little coach :)D )- as well as the Stallions. I think the Stallions like laying a shite kicking on us older guys.

Dude Right on All Points

You are right, Sapperton B and the coach take it seriously as who wouldn't in pursuit of the coveted BMSL championship.

Those young Stallions beat Diggers 8 to 5 tonight after starting the game with 7 men and 1 to 0 lead. Diggers were lucky those youngs guys took it easy on them.

Friday night Sid's Bohemians walloped Poco Rangers by a not known score.

96ers 4, Surrey City 3

Sounds like I missed an entertaining match last night @ NAP. Final score: 96ers 4, Surrey City 3. Sounds like the same thing that keeps letting us down let us down again- inconsistent defense, and not enough defending from our mids. This isn’t to say our defensemen have been poor, just that we quite often have a different four every week, and they aren’t getting much help from the mids.

Anyhow, Train got another 2 for us. On one, he apparently took Ivor Evans to school. I don't remember Evans as ever being a defensive specialist. Frank Sigliano had the other with about 5 minutes to go to make the score 4-3. Apparently neither of the Clark brothers played. The first time we played these guys, Ian Clark was easily the best player on the pitch. That probably made a difference.
