There should be some doubt now . The 10th place team in the world could only manage to score on set pieces against the 88th ranked in the world. I'd say it should have been a pisstake, but it was'nt. Good luck against Norway.

How's this for getting a rivalry going. 2-1 Mexico.

Seems as though the Mexicans and USA had a hard fought quailifier this weekend.

The Mexican fans booed the American anthem during the singing.
To add insult to injury, some Mexican fans actually shouted Osame, Osame ,Osame , during and after the national anthem.

The 100 000 fans seemed to rattle and test the nerves of many American players.

"Our players shut down in the last fifteen minutes of the first half and that seemed to cost us dearly", said American coach Bruce Areana.

Landon Donavan said,"I would love to play them anywhere else but here today".

(You think the USA boys were rattled a bit.)

"We need to give them payback from sending us out of the last World Cup" said Jaime Lozano.

"No one will come in hear and beat us at home" said Ozwaldo Sanchez.

Just a little rivalry to keep an eye on for the next few months of quailifying.

On a side note. England vs USA on May 28th in Chicago. Nice!

Lets hope your being daft on purpose. The point I now have to spell out is that with such a superior squad, some goals from the run of play would have been expected. Two referee assisted goals are still more than enough for the win. Orso Lil'twat.

Two referee assisted goals

Laughable insight Stevie-boy.

Let me ask you this: If a player is fouled 20 yards from goal, and the referee makes the call (twice), are the goals from the resulting set pieces considered:

A) Referee Assisted
B) Opposition assisted (because they used poor judgement in fouling)
C) Created by the attacking team (through decent build-up)

I guess my point is, you can give the referee credit for the goals.......or.......you could loosen the vice grip on your brain and realize that there are other factors at work.

Your missing the point timex. If it was a walk in the park, why no goals from open play? The Portugal game for instance, was a walk in the park. Are you getting it now? Feel free to post more multiple choice questions, I thoroughly enjoyed that.

The second half of the "Mauricio Show" kicked off about 10 minutes ago on Fox Sports World.

It's not quite the Captain reffing at Sportstown but it's not far off. The camera just loves him.

Nice to see Scotland finally win at Hampden. It's been a while.

Also good to see young Alistair along side Mr Smith in the dugout taking up a coaching position with the National team. I'm sure he can teach McCulloch, Miller and McFadden a thing or two. ;)

Good luck against Belarus.

Cheers Crafty.

Although you can't get too chuffed about beating Powerhouses like Moldova.
But we will take it.

McCoist has said that his desire to coach came from a recent trip to Canada and was inspired by a half time chat made by a gaffer in an exhibition match.

God bless the Queen, ;)

Great results all round. Both Scotland and Hrvatska with big wins and Ireland shat the bed. Perfect.

God Save the Queen, indeed!

Well done, BigotBucky. What do you in fact have against the Irish, other than me? Sad, sad, indeed.

Nothing against the Irish. Just a big fan of the Israeli side.

After looking at all your anti-Celtic/Irish posts over the last few years, I figured that it must have just been your love for the Israeli side. BTW, Scotland and Croatia are not in Ireland's group. Perhaps that makes a difference. ;) :D
