Seriously guys.....when you are a world class goalie paid top dollars you can't shite the sheets when it counts. This has nothing to do with how capable he is in atheletically being the best...this is just questioning his mental abilities. Question for all you believers...Can Luongo be mentally tough enough to win the cup? If not then he should be traded.

When did he shite the sheets? In the two shutouts in the stanley cup (often done) or when his team cant score a fuking goal to help him out? 8 goals in 7 games is terriable they didnt deserve to get past 4 games but did so because of luongo.

Funny thing is, I'm not really a Lou lover, I just can't stand it when fans/media say ridiculous things. I'm pretty sure there's a reason no fan/media have ever been hired to coach/manage a professional sports team.

Man, I wish my parents had got me into playing and coaching hockey. Then, I would know everything about everything too :bronco::knvb::wa:

I don't know everything, nor do I know you. I played high levels of hockey growing up, with and against now and former NHL players, and I coached elite hockey as well including now and former pros...

What I do know is how to look at something objectively... form an opinion and have the facts, as Stall and Franchise have posted to back up such opinions.

If you put a gun to my head and said "Can the Canucks win a cup with Lui?" Id have to say I don't know, because I don't know the other 20-something guys in this hypothetical situation, would I prefer Lui to many NHL tenders? Yes, are there a few that could inspire more confidence in me as a Nucks fan? yes... that being said I'm sick to my fcuking stomach with "Nucks Fan" that hasn;t ever put a pair of skates on or doesn't understand the game sit there and either a) Whinge about the Nucks "sucking" or b" Whinge about Luongo being the problem, when clearly he's not, or at least he's just, at times, a PART of the Problem.

Only in Vancouver can you have team with a longer history of losing than winning "pile on" when your franchise and city is enjoying a wildly competitive and winning generation of teams season over season. The Hockey fans in non traditional markets (I've met more than a few of them in Florida, California, Arizona, etc) are generally more knowledgeable than "canucks fans" about the game in general and would give their left testicle for a team as good, competitive and deep as the Canucks and a goalie as good as Luongo.

Yeah, I mean Broduer has a million games, but Halak only has 1 playoffs worth of stats, Luongo has almost 60 games. Most of the other guys are in the 20-40 games played.

And the first number is birth year.

And Luongo's only been to the playoffs in 4 seasons of his 9 NHL Seasons, and he's already amassed 49 games... that's a lot of success...Not once has he lost the first round series.

"shite the sheets"... give me strength!
