Ok regs , you little twerp , if you look at my original post it says " if I am not mistaken it would be a quadruple " and as for the bet if you were to check that post it says " I say they are going to win , you say they are not " It is a reference to this weekend ... not the quadruple ( because if you read the post you would see I wasn't certain about that ) that is why the " if I am not mistaken " . Now do you want to bet on the rangers winning this weekend or not ???? I say they do and I suspect you are saying they won't so bet or not ???

Phatnuts,

I never said FireRangers wouldn't win this weekend, did I?

Maybe with the teachers on strike now, you might find someone who would be interested in moonlighting for some reading comprehension tutoring. Ask Aves or Muzz, I believe they have lots of extra time on their hands :D

Ok...my bet was assuming they had won 3 already...which I thoguht they had as stated in Phatandslos post..I made the same mistake reading Phatandslos post as you did, ... .and they have not....The painkillers are obviously getting to me....

Being the good sport that I am...unlike you other vultures.. :D I am willing to cough up a CASE of beer for not doing my homework...if you insist... OR we can do a winner takes all for THIS weekend only and get some proper gamesmanship going...

That is one fcuked up post!

3 nil, good result for us. Sloppy at times, great at others, that's 3 shutouts in a row for Angela and the backline... one more and we're back to a goal-a-game average against.

Then Aves comes back.

GEU 3 AllBlacks 1

I'm really starting to dislike footy, I'm not sure if I did something wrong in a past life but footy just isn't fair. I won't take anything away from GEU, they had three shots on net, they were all phenomenal efforts and there you have this farked up score.

AllBlacks hit the post 5 times, missed a penalty and countless opportunities on open nets. Bottom line is we are bottom, 3 ties and 2 losses. Absolute robbery.

Dennis M. ref'ed the game and commented;" I've never seen a team dominate a game for so long and lose." Nuff said, we didn't take our chances and that’s just the way it is. I'm sure GEU is very happy with that result, Happy farkin' Thanksgiving

Well, it wasn't quite that bad but.......

The Allblacknblues probably should have had a better result on this night, but that's the way it is sometimes.

The opening twenty minutes were spent entirely in GEU's half. Langley had several quality chances but couldn't bury anything. As luck would have it, the ball squirted down the park, our midfielder stripped the AllBlack defender and scored a brilliant goal - about as much against the run of the play as I have ever seen.

That goal seemed to stun Langley because I don't think they were the same team after that. Before they had a chance to regroup, we scored again about five minutes later and were forced to defend with all hands on deck, especially in the second half when Langley sent everybody forward trying to get back into it (which led to a counter attack third goal). I don't think Langley were as dangerous in the second half, despite a lot of possession. We defended pretty well. :)

Hey Lads,
Say it isn't so.....Rangers lost 2-1 to Manitoba??? Is it possible they are only the second BC team to lose a game in the Westerns??? Don't blow the final boys.....as you will be the FIRST BC team to lose the title...Good luck...don't break the tradition!

CHEERS!

Sir M .......... actually that was myself and the red headed Scott "The Sherminator" Rintoul reporting from the sidelines :D :D

FireRangers looked a little strange with the winged horse on the chest. With our name change to West Van F.C., I have a full closet of Pegasus attire that I can sell to any of the FireRangers that are interested. Coach, do you need a Peg warmup jacket to keep you dry while pacing the sidelines????

Nice job Ranger Boys!!

Now, who owes me beer!?!?!! :p

I think I might owe Regs a case of O'Doules, but I'm not quite sure.....correct me if Im wrong, but we never did SPECIFY what kind of Beer we were giving up...and you actually thought ya had me on the hook..even Peter throwin out the line for me..thanks anyways Pumkin Head... :bronco: .....but I was just trying to see if He would actually make a REAL Bet...apparently not.....believe me Regs, if Wee Jordy and his peter pan getaway boots are sharing in the spoils, the O'Doules that is , you'll thank me, cause round about Midnight he gets real funny and starts talking about all this Faroe Islands shite and the good Old Days...whatever that means...think he took a holiday there once or sumthin?!?!

Have you ever actually seen his Porno Mustache?!!? Goodness, I think I've said too much....

BullB...Don't be Blue...it could be worse, you could be in Cunning Stunts Shoes and be playin for the Pansy Arses...

Well done Rangers from the boys from Peace Arch country, now can Sapperton have their goalie back so we can play them, without any strange last minute cancellations (no feild apparently)i guess it was'nt available to anyone according to our boys that showed up to see nobody there at all, very strange indeed.

Cheers guys on all the well wishes.

This site is all about taking the mick out of each other but as I said to Tony on Monday having the respect of your friends and peers in the community is where it's at.
Hang on as I need to have a wee cry... ;)

Seriously though, I want to again thank Sapperton from the bottom of our hearts for allowing us to have Tony this weekend.
He is a class act and we can only hope one day to repay the favour he and your Club gave us.
Also, he basically broke his hand or finger on the weekend and played through it.
He refused to have it looked at until it was done.
He has balls the size of Texas and a heart of the same stature.
Multiplying what was a huge amount of consideration from Sapperton to the Rangers.

Gameboy:
If there ever is anything we can ever do for you and your mates, we owe you big time.
Please don't ever hesitate to ask and you have my word on it.

My favourite moment:
Our manager Larry hugging Tony and calmly explaining to him:
"You do realize in a couple of weeks we'll be jamming it right down your throat eh?" :D
Classic.

Anyhow, sorry to bore any of you with this, but sometimes the right things don't get said on a public forum like this and I needed to publicly show my Club's gratitude to Tony and Sapperton.

Cheers boys, we play Delta Friday at JO and best of luck to everyone this weekend, except Surrey United, ;)

Strangerthanever....nice going..seriously. Great to see you guys bring home the hardware...even if I have to look at it from afar...

Now, back to the slagging.....I have figured out a way for you guys to re-pay Sapperton....no seriously...its perfect... :D

Well, when P.A. lodges a formal complaint against Sapperton for giving such short notice for cancelling their game AND lying about not have a field available.... (see Cunning Stunts previous post) no...wait for it....it gets better....Perhaps Coach, being on the BOARD and all, could pull a few strings for Sapperton so they won't lose any points.... I even bet the Board will totally agree its the least they could do for Sapperton for helping the Valley win the Tounament...see, problem solved...

You can thank me later... :D
