Gaffa,

Here is that thread we were talking about on Saturday. So far, Hastings Park would not be a great option because they only have afternoon/early evening races(finish at 7:11), which wouldn't help a lot of TTPers who are actually playing soccer at this time. They open until Sunday, December 1.

Gentlemen,

Who would be interested in a night at Fraser Downs or Hastings? We had a weak turn out last year(12?) yet it was a lot of fun puking on the track and pissing in the garbage can in front of a security guard. If I set a date and get some things organized, who would be in to winning some money at the races? CDK, you must make an appearance at this function !:) Bronco? Ask Lui to give you guys some tips. I'm sure he knows the horses inside and out. :)

Regs,

What do you think of this idea? I can see it now. The Takethepiss Stakes winner is...........

Winner’s Circle Presentations

Someone once said that everyone deserves a moment of fame!

We’ll name a race in honour of your group, company or special guest. This is an exceptional promotional tool, which will be viewed by all racetrack fans at Hastings Racecourse and every simulcast location across North America.

The sponsor or presenters name will appear in our Racing Program and announced by our track announcer. There will be a trip to the Winner’s Circle for four of the sponsor’s guests, where they will present the winner with a Victory Bouquet or horse blanket embroidered with your name or logo.

Victory Blanket, embroidered with sponsor/presenter or group name
$160.00 *

Victory Bouquet
$85.00 *

Two 8 X 10 photographs are included with either option.

What a great way to promote TTP across North America.

Captain

P.S. I could probably use the Victory Blanket to keep me warm when I get kicked out of the house that evening for coming home late again.

Okay, gentlemen, here are some dates for Fraser Downs in October and November. They all start at 7:20.

October 19/26/ November 2. They are all Saturday nights. However, there are Friday night dates too all through October and November. Iw asn't sure which would be best for people. Either way , there are a few options so would anyone be interested in joining the Gaffa, CDK, and the Captain? It wouldn't matter to me if it was a Friday or a Saturday night? Could we have some feedback? Thanks in advance.....

October 26th it is then.......

Gentlemen,

A Night at the Races will resume on October 26, 2002. Please confirm as soon as possible, so I can see what kind of deals they can give us there for appropriate numbers.

Off to bed.

Fraser Downs? Put me down as a strong maybe. Being that it is just a short cab ride down the hill, it makes for a good excuse to have a few pints. If I can convince the wife to have her birthday dinner a night early on Friday, I'm in...

If you guys will have me:(I might come out. I'll drive myself though.

I don't know the first thing about "betting on the ponies" though. Any tips Captain?

I like this one...

at Fraser Downs (now run by Chuck Keeling - former Surrey youth soccer player).

I'll put $5 down on HOS getting punted by the 7th; $2 that he will go by the 4th. Or is this an exactor? Captain, maybe this could be organized so we can actually profit by the demise of one of the group? ;)

Put me down to attend.

$10 on HOS Punting Reccos in the 2nd

HOS is in, I will bring the big bottle of 5Star to this event. I played with Chuck when I was back at Cap. years ago.

I have heard of soccer teams having functions at the Races, I think that PAU has had an event there before.
Bring your own booze and everything(escorts).

Sure bet of the Night: 5Star in the 3rd:eek:

Chuck has already booked me into the VIP room, he said it is near the Stables, and that he has a NICE Filly for me. I hope she likes the 5Star and my 5Stars.

Regs,

Here is the e-mail I received from Fraser Downs, if we want to go ahead with this deal. How many people would be interested in the buffet? Would it be better to just show up and drink? Please let me know because we can get a deal obviously with 12 or more TTPers. Ballbaby, I haven't heard from you yet? I promise to not throw-up on the track this time. Promise.

Hi Stephen

I received your email regarding groups in the clubhouse. Our groups are 12 or more people. We will name a race after your group
as well. I need the name of the group 2 weeks in advance. There is no charge for this. A Blanket is $100 and $1.00 per letter plus gst & pst. The rate for the buffet is $25.00 on Fridays and Saturday and Sunday afternoons are $22.pp. Tickets must be purchased in advance and will include your programs and parking.

I think I have answered most questions. Look forward to hearing from you .

Sincerely

Sharalyn Hovey
Group Sales.

Here's hoping to the TTP Stakes

Captain,

The reason you haven't heard from me yet is because I am working that specific night. However, I think I will try to get it off because you guys are so special to me. I'll lose my usual couple of hundred, drink and eat until I vomit, hold the Captain's head up as he feeds the ponies, watch HOS hijack a buggy and horse and proceed to get booted from the facility, and watch a few Chinese gamblers pick their noses as they thumb through their racing program. Yep! I'm in!:D
