Not quite

Captain,

I'm not sure what you're so gleeful about.

Looking at the newly revamped excellent site, your lot are on nine points, not ten. And you're still below us for now.

A little premature perhaps, unless they have made a mistake.

Club I 4 Bingers 1 = 3 points

Club I 5 Hagars 1 = 3 points

Club I 2 Sikh Temple 2 = 1 point

Club I 0 Serbia 0 = 1 point

Club I 3 Norvan 3 = 1 point

Club I 3 Peg/Olys 3 = 1 point

3 + 3 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 = 10

What site are you looking at, Dazza? I still see this on the site....

# Team GP W T L GF GA PTS
1 Clan Alumni 9 8 0 1 37 15 24
2 Sikh Temple "A" 7 6 1 0 27 7 19
3 Norvan "A" 9 4 3 2 21 16 15
4 Club Ireland 9 2 4 3 18 17 10
5 WFC Bimini's 9 3 1 5 9 21 10
6 Meralomas "A" 9 3 1 5 7 10 10
7 Serbian White Eagles 8 2 3 3 12 14 9
8 Peg-Olys 8 1 5 2 12 12 8
9 Hagar's "A" 9 2 1 6 13 25 7
10 Binger's Army 9 2 1 6 10 29 7

You see, the GP stands for games played, not Gained Points. And the PTS stands for points, not P ull T he S quad after 20 minutes. :)

So I believe the above standings are correct....

BTW, I am not gleeful about only having 10 points after 9 games. It is very mediocre. We could easily be sitting on 19 points right now, especially when we outplay teams like we did against the Lomas in week 2.......

I'm not sure what you're so gleeful about

Just checked the breakdown of results.

They have your result against Peg wrong.

Fair enough.

All that matters is Bimini's beat both you two.

Captain,

Daz is right. Perhaps Club I has had points taken away for your excessive repostings of the standings. :D

I guess I better contact Mr. Tremarco unless JAGS and DICKENSIDER have something to do with this.

To get back on topic, no team should ever leave the field UNLESS they are in physical danger.........

Pulling Off The Pitch

The standing are right with Pegs in 4th with 10 points. Little do many people know, but Club I pulled their team off the pitch when it was 3 - 3 with 5 minutes left a couple weeks back in the battle v. Peg. Something about Regs, Captain et al not wanting to get injured for Night At The Races the following week. After they pulled their team off the pitch, Dickens_Cider took a long throw-in to himself, but was pulled down in the box by nobody. He casually approached the ball and headed the PK in for a 4-3 Peg win. Captain and Regs asked us to keep quiet about this for fear of being chastized for pulling off :)D :D :D ) the pitch early. Sorry to let the cat out of the bag, but we are now officially in 4th.

Keeper,

And excessive repostings of my quotes.

Captain,

You forgot to quote me on my saying that you lot are a good team and will do well this season

Looks like this is fizzling out now.

It's been good though.

We will just wait and see what the League has to say tomorrow.

I'll try to keep this from fizzling out.

Sikh Temple beat Bingers 9 - 1 two weeks ago while Clan humped Biminis 8 - 1 this past weekend.

By LomaLogic these teams should have walked off the field to save their opponents from being bored. Either that or they were tactically inept. Maybe someone from these teams could explain to us why they finished the game.

Now you really are desperate Jinky!

Those are far from worthy comparisons and you know it.

Maybe you can chat with yourself about that one.

Have a good night.

I think they are good comparisons and I'll tell you why.

Your mob quit yesterday plain and simple. When you were sitting around after the game you rationalized your decision to quit by telling each other that you left the field to save your team from further depletion through suspension and injury. Why waste players against a good team like Temple when by walking off the field with 50 minutes remaining, you could keep your squad numbers up for the Serbia game next week? Does this mean you would have continued to play if it was say, Bingers you were down 3 men to?

This is why the comparisons are valid. By your logic those teams should have tried to have their matches abandoned in order to save their goals against records when it comes down to a relegation battle. Just good tactics, right?

You should have just admitted that you picked up your ball and went home. By trying to save face with this tactics bollocks you're going to look very bad in the eyes of the league.

Now then, I'd like to hear the unbiased view of Fastshow.

I have to agree with Captain. This pretty much sums it up. Safety First.:D

This has been some good banter though.

by request.........

Sandman summed it up best and, surely, there can't be a more casual and impartial observer than he, can there?

On a positive note, however, I always enjoyed the training sessions while at the club. Putting my own tongue in a place typically reserved for keeper's in Dazza's anatomy, training and playing with the Gaffa was always a pleasure. It's just a shame there hadn't been another ten like him.
