Yeah, Larsson, it's your typing people usually think of when they hear your name and shady in the same sentence

:D

Heard some interesting things about your past teammate Titus... sounds like quite the team player... AFC seems to be better w/o him...

Cheers,

~Regs.

Khalsa 1 - Burnaby Itals 2

Thought I was playing Inter 1997, with all the boys they have out there, but the fitness is all 2004. I thought it was an ugly game out at Riverway today, both teams are out of shape and lacking numbers (Burnaby with 12, Khalsa with 14), and it was all about getting it forward and taking advantage of mistakes in the back. One of the Birring brothers scored the first, I think it was Pammi with his 3rd, for Khalsa mid way through the first on a great strike that beat Jonsey. Burnaby pushed hard after that but came up empty at the half. Second half the Itals came out flying, even though we are the younger (should be fitter) team, and were able to get thier first goal when BK took a long throw that Millar flicked on that lead to a scramble in the Box and an eventual PK for one of the Gatta's, he put it down the middle, 1-1. That long throw was very dangerous for them, but the winner was off a cross and again a scramble in the six that eventaully ended up in the back of our net. Khalsa pushed hard for the draw, but only came up with one real chance that Jonsey tipped over the bar. Both teams struggled near the end, a few of the Burnaby players were asking for subs, but the lone man on the side line could hardly walk. Tough game for us after the big win at Kinsmen, but now we must move onto Bronco and Croatia, a bit of a rivalry from the Coast League days.
The site says Sap. 2 - Croats 1.

ps. Joe did a good job in the middle, but the fukcing yellow cards that guys get are going to kill teams that allready have such small benches, stupid yellows too.

Sap 2 - Croatia 1

Pretty easy, actually. The only hickup was when Brian D. took a 2nd yellow and we were reduced to 10 men 3 minutes into the 2nd half. For 20 minutes after that Croatia controlled the midfield play but never threated on goal.

Luke Hogan opened the scoring 5 minutes in. Hammered home a left footed shot after roasting, for about the 3rd time in the game, Bronco. After beating him a few more times, Bronco had enough and decided to stud Luke from behind after Luke burned him yet again. Luke had to leave the game in the 20th min with an ankle sprain. He would have had a hatty if he was able to continue.

But, hey, no worries. Ted Ullrich moved over to Bronco's side and had a fun time ripping up and down the park. Beating Bronco at will. It got so bad that Croatia played a guy beside Bronco on right defense to help him out. No problem. Ted beat them both and rang it off the post.

We managed to eventualy get ourselves composed after we lost Brian D. We started to counter-attack well and Ted scored a header on a beautiful cross by Rob Sing in the 70th min. Croatia replied in the 85 min but they knew that they couldn't score again as Croatia showed no last minute despiration.

Fun in the Sun at Adanac.

Saw the second half at South Memorial

AFC 2 Surrey United 1

N.Thompson second yellow (red card) middle of the second half. Up to that point both teams had chances, I would say if Surrey finished their chances, cause they had many. after the sent off, AFC capitalized two and missed a couple of other chances. A PK made the last part of the game interesting as Surrey went for the tie. In the last minute of play there was KNVB was down inside the AFC 18 yards box, from were I was, a penalty kick, no call by the ref. Then KNVB showed his class, he did not complained that much, but that was a foul that even player from AFC admited.

Peg 1 - Fireman 1
Clanumbus 3 - Inter 1

Peg with its first point, I bet they will have a BIG Pasta Dinner to Celebrate the Draw. But they are 8 points back of AFC, who can stop these guys.

Firemen - Peg was not good at all.
I love Peg but christ boys it will have to be better in the Canadians to get the job done.
No offence boys, but the midfield was invisible. How many times can you knock a long ball up the park to Reedie and Whoever?
Oh well it was a nice day out there? ;)

Trollers 2 - Weakside 1.

From what I hear off the wire, it was all Westside in the second, but no result.

Decent game actually. DCRtollops keeper fcuked up big time  when they were up 2-0, early in the 2nd . Then Westside were pushing big time, lotsa pressure, but DCRT held on, for a much needed win. :D

Not a ton to moan about from my side of the fence really. AFC to be honest were full credit for the W. For those yet to see them play they’re pretty good. Leaving the obvious Clark bros. out and yes even larrson, (for 45) they have a few others (4 or 5) who can really play.

Like GH had said I think it was pretty even until Nial got his second yellow 5 or 10 into the second half with a couple of good chances for either side. From there AFC did well to control the rest of the game, until the last 10, as we were almost stuck trying to ‘spring’ some to score.

Although larsson will protest, and he fcuking did  , the big girls blouse, I was most certainly taken down in the box late. Maritseo, so I was told, went running up to the PK spot pointing and at full pace whistle in mouth, but second guessed himself, I guess, or forgot to blow the damn whistle. He covered by yelling "play on" as Blakes tried to hustle down the a lose ball he was never going to get before it rolled out. Dems the breaks I guess…

AFC with a 5 point lead 3 games in. Wow. Who would have thunk it? What are we second now with 4 points? Going to be a crazy season good thing there is still 16 left.

I have to say that I'm new to the Premier football out here, but never have I seen a team play on their 18 yard box as much as I seen today with Trollers.....never even tried to play.
Fair dues, early header when we were sleeping and an opportunistic strike from 300 yards out, but the most one-sided game of football I've ever played in.
Football's a !&$# of a game sometimes......

ps. Joe did a good job in the middle, but the fukcing yellow cards that guys get are going to kill teams that already have such small benches, stupid yellows too.
Not sure I completely agree with that comment...I personally thought Joe lost control of the match (nothing new there), which resulted in some stupid yellows. For every action their is a equal and opposite reaction...in this case, some unnecessary cards.

PS...Congrats to Sal and Cindy on making babies. This is the first time Sal received a card and it wasn't yellow or red!!! :D

Just to note 2 of your 3 wins have been vs teams with 9 and 10 players...

KNVB says: Just to note 2 of your 3 wins have been vs teams with 9 and 10 players...

Why would you say that? A win is a win. Are you suggesting that they should give fewer points if the other side can't keep 11 on the park or mark the win column with an asterisk. Wins are wins, but I guess it depends if you got the L instead of the W.

AFC have a good side and will do well this year in Premier, even if they did lose the summer final to my former Sap B team.
