Sapp 1 -WV 2

Hand it to them, WV wanted that one and played a good, physical game.

Historic note:
A first for Sapp this year; Sapp played 1,135 consecutive minutes before falling behind in a game.....and nobody ripped anyone's head off in the Sapp camp! WOW.

It's never good to lose, but WV did remind Sapp that we must play harder and regain our fitness to be successful. I think this will help us down the road.

I think that WAB is still a little shattered about the 1,135 cosecutive minutes of winning soccer, that was stopped by SirM and the WV lads, and he forgot about the Mighty Orange and Black of Burnaby.

Well done boys, keep beating yourselves up, the FVSL is just sitting back andd waiting for the BC's to start.

HOS, after some careful analysis, speaking of beating eachother up, are not the top 5 teams in the FVSL within one point of eachother?

You are correct Sir, but we do not allow lower ranked teams to spank the 1st place team 2 weeks in a row, it is a respect thing.
Ya, things are tight out in the Valley too, and we only get 3 spots to the big dance.

Sapp 1 - Cliff Ave 3

Cliff Ave - Scotty Walters was awesome in the back for them. GT, Mobilio, and Davie were solid up the middle.
Bby Lake - it might as well be old Empire. 9am start wasn't all that bad. The Asian league starts at 7am and they are all out there.

1. Fitness - we did nothing during the break and all the little extra things we did on the pitch are now gone. We all realize this was the advantage we had most of the season. For us to be successful we had to be fit. All of us to a man said that last week and we will continue on that way. It'll take a bit of time.
2. This ain't the FVSL - all teams are competitive and most games are tight in this league. Cliff got a goal 30 seconds in and basically shut us down the rest of the way. A couple bad mental errors on our part killed us and Cliff took full advantage - something we have done all season to other teams.
3. All teams have their slumps. We were never as good as an unbeaten, but not as bad as the 2 loses either.

Back to the basics.....

What about the other 6 teams? The one's who get rocked week in week out.
The A sides lowest points team is still above the B sides highest.
Who drew the names for this alignment, Coach, RF?

The other thing Coach and I have managed to do is change the name from the FVSL to the CCSL.

No - it's booked. Unless the league moves us, I don't think we'll be playing because Queens still has some snow on it. Wait and see right now.
Might arrange an exhibition game against Abby Ancient Mariners - hopefully that will get us out of this funk.

ICSF Inter vs Westside FC "A" 1-3 - With Cliff's victory last week, I think Inter's hopes were crushed and will just be going through the motions.

PCOV "A" vs West Van FC 2-1 - Why the hell am I predicting this outcome. PCOV is such an up-and-down team. Just when you think you have them pegged......

Sapperton Rovers vs RCIU Athletics 1-0 - Sapp tightens up and plays hard to keep it's #1 ranking. Rumor has it that Kent will play in goal.

Surrey United vs Cliff Avenue FC Tie 1-1 - Cliff with confidence. Look out SU.

Metro-Ford Firefighters vs Columbus FC 1-2 - Layoff just too long for MF. They'll need a game or 2 to get their legs.

As of now, I believe our game vs Cliff is off as grass pitches in Slurrey are closed.
