The philanderer returns...........

Well, there's a fcuking welcome blast from the past.

Good to see Hed back in the fold too.

Other half decent cover versions......

'Bizarre Love Triangle'- Frente
'Blue' (theme from Wihnail & I)- Way out West
'Anarchy in the UK'- Frazier Chorus
'Can't get you out of my Head'- The Flaming Lips
'I Started a Joke'- The Beautiful South

Hed, I am in complete accordance with you (I agree as well) about that pile of steaming donkey excretion that is No Doubt's butchery of one of mankind's finest moments, 'It's my Life'.

That flat-chested front-bottom bint lead 'singer' should be tried for crimes against humanity in The Hague for committing such cardinal a sin.

I shouldn't like it in principle, but the new Ryan Adams song is not too bad, 'So Alive'. Man made a complete cnut of himself on XFM last week, though. Undoubtedly an idol of poor old Luc van Lierde.........

Flat Chested

Fasty,
Always quick yer mark, you never sleep do you? How's blighty? Still keeping in beer, football, music and other?

After treasuring my copy of the "the colour of spring", I trotted to the local music purveyor and updated it with the remastered version. Although they do not contain that tune that flat chested, nasal sounding person sang. This cd will ever be placed in the upper echelon of hK's most valued cd cabinet. All the hairs on hK's body stands on end still, when hears that lead break in "I Don't Believe in You". Terribly outstanding!
If there is advice, I can give and that is all you TTPers go and get a copy.

Good call with Frente's version of New Order's bizarre, not heard the Way Out West (d/l as we speak!)
cover on...
blue monday - flunk
and check out Ivy's LP - guestroom. All quite good.

Jam & Spoon - Tripomatic Fairytales 3003

It would seem that a once german techno duo and worldwide superstar djs now want their music to transcend more feeling and meaning.

Were you on pills when you wrote that?

Hold me.

p.s. interesting to read Jam & Spoon had renounced their German ethnicity. What nationality are they now?

Love you.

You are tryin to hard lil lady.

Now you sound like the missus. you been chatting her up? She insists I try to hard because, frankly, I'm rubbish in bed. Sadly, I think I'm immune to Viagra now.

Your posts have much the same effect.

'Get Some Sleep' Bic Runga
'Race for the Prize' Flaming Lips
'Suburban Homeboy' Sparks.
'Colours in Waves' South

The Sparks song is worth downloading just to hear what KNVB listens to while driving around Surrey. So awful it's awful. Sparks are German, however. Sorry, that should be Sparks were once an odd German pop group who now want their music to transcend more feeling and meaning. Just like everyone else then.

Peace and love.

Are you into Dizee Rascal yet? I'd surf through your old posts, but blue font gives me epileptic fits.

I'm not breakdancing,

Re: Dizee Rascal.......

Hope this gives you fits.

I don't object to Dizee Rascal nor do I possess any of his songs. In the finest Canadian tradition, my opinion is neutral.

Keane, however, will be massive. By this time next year even people like Willy will have heard of them and will be organising a trip down the Commodore to hear them. Like pre-Gwyneth Coldplay taking the Beautiful South to a dinner party catered by the Manics and with Ben Folds Five serving canapes.

Expect to hear about them again in this thread in about ten months time when others discover them.

From the Radio 1 website. Obviously.

Re: Another opinion

While you are verbalizing Fastshow, what do you think of Athlete?

I finally got a copy of the LP "vehicles and animals". After waiting for ages for a North American copy, eventually picking it up in Paris for 6 Euros.

It is a strong first album, all songs are strong and as good as "parachutes". I especially like the title track and "new project".

Is it one that got away, due to Coldplay excitement?

Re: tenuous at best.......

You listen to me, gobshite, just because you're poncing about in Paris up and down the Champs-Elysees and shopping at Fnac do not for a second think you can blemish my perfect pop record (and there is no more perfect a pop record than 'Pure' by Ian Broudie's The Lightning Seeds).

Have a shufty of this........

Get any Michel Sardou or Mylene Farmer while enjoying your Gallic chums?

Having been on said Champs Elyesees last week (hang on while I bend over to pick up the name I just dropped), it pleased me no end to see that, emblazoned with such magnitude that one could, I imagine (a great deal), see it from the moon (or Mali), 'Jean Reno Loves You'.

His cologne smells of wee.

Fcuking french.

Fastshow,
Was it the French thing that got you going or have forgot to have your chip butty, gravy and mushy peas for tea?

au revoir
