I was doomed from the start. First I have to play sharezees with The Scud (has no Darts)which threw me right off my warm up routine. BTW, how the fcuk does a guy get ranked and he has no arrows of his own? Scud if it's the Mrs. that's put her foot down I'll be glad to store them at my place for ya....

Then THEY walked into the room. How is anyone suppose to concentrate with Them wondering about? Unreal talent! To bad it took the Captain 35+mins to see them. Our matches would have been alot closer.

Dave 'Can't double out to save his fcuking life' Hleucka

P.s. Captain I was 1-8 Lets not make it worse than it already is

Did you down 25 pints on the way home? That was terribly angry. Here if it will make you feel better I'll tell everyone.

Hey Everyone who gives a rats ass. Homebrew got a brand new set of flights tonight. Spent a $1.59 on them. They are painted like the bloody British flag. They worked well too. His Darts now fly from a 75 degree angle to a 90 degree angle right into the treble 18 he was aiming for....

To reiterate They were Fantastic

Oops, my mistake. It was the Dutch Open and it was an Englishman who scored the perfect game. I guess there is no hope afterall........

Dutch journalist Hans Senders reports on a very special weekend in Holland that saw Shaun Greatbatch take the Dutch Open 2002, hitting a televised nine-dart en route.

Shaun Greatbatch won the Dutch Open 2002 and his win was made extra sweet when he hit a perfect 9-darter during the final against Steve Coote, live on Dutch television.

Despite the wild scenes that greeted Greatbatch's achievement from the Dutch crowd, the Englishman held his nerve to win the title and the admiration of all present, as well as the 1.2 million watching on television.

In the semis Greatbatch came up against Amsterdam's Co Stompe. Greatbatch took the lead in sets 1-0, but ‘The Matchstick’ leveled the match. Shaun hit every possible finish and Co could not cope with that standard of play.

Stompe who had won the Men’s Pairs with Barneveld earlier in the day looked weary and Greatbatch withstood the cheering Dutch Army to reach the final.

His opponent would be Steve Coote who played a marvellous match against Colin Monk and won in straight sets.

The 'ideal son-in-law' as Steve Coote is called in Holland, was highly favoured by the fans. When he even took the first set with a 141 check-out (3-0) everything was going according to plan.

That changed when Greatbatch leveled the match. At 2-0 up in the second set he started with a 180 followed by another. The fans stayed reasonably quite although they sensed sensation.

When Shaun hit his 7th treble 20 followed by a treble 15, the perfect leg was possible. Last year German Andree Welge was also close to a 9-dart leg and in 1999 Ted Hankey had missed one on double 12 in his semi final against Ray Barneveld. Could it be possible now?

Without any hesitation Shaun dropped the 9th dart in the double 18!! Despite what the scoreboard showed (131), the first ever live broadcast perfect leg and only the third recorded was thrown!

Impromptu matches tonight......

After the Total Package bailed, there were three true competitors at the Buck tonight........Dana's nuggets were the main attraction. It was the same bird from Super Bowl Sunday, Total Package. Anyway, El Nino made an appearance and did very well. The results were:

The Executioner 5 - 1

El Nino 3 - 3

Sidewinder 1 - 5

The Sidewinder might be switching to his left hand. Apparently, his darts don't flutter as much and is considering a bold change. After his pathetic 2 - 10 record over the last few days, it might not be a bad idea. ;) Nevertheless, he will move ahead of his sons in the rankings because of their absence AGAIN tonight. El Nino will also be moving up, I'm sure.....

sharezees anyone?

Esteemed dart players,

I haven't yet bought my own darts, what with my 2.5% not kicking in yet, but I do have a link for dart lovers of all ages.

http://www.brisdet.com/darts.htm

I will be out of action next week as I scout out the dart talent-and Bristol Cities- on the Quebec circuit. I should shoot up the rankings with my 3 consecutive 200 point come-from-behind victories...

Thanks to all for the arrow advice.

Fluke

I thought I'd get on here and explain before Knvb begins to rant and rave about his game:rolleyes: yes last night he hit 3 Bulls in a row!!! However the daft igit doesn't realise that in a "REAL" game of Darts the RED is worth 50 and the surrounding GREEN is worth 25pts!!! The "Daft Dutchman" (as I will refer to him from now) called his 1 Bullseye and his 2 outside Bulls; 3 Bullseyes on the trot:rolleyes:

Jealousy is a sin you know

Guinness you are right in a real game those totals would be correct, BUT we were not playing a real game so your point is now moot.

In the team game "Mickey Mouse" green and red are considered a BULL. So I am now correct in saying I fired THREE Bulls on the trot!!

I was back to form last night and I'm hoping my precision holds it's form, for my up coming sanctioned matches on Saturday.

Thanks for the exhibitions matches last night Guinness and 'Foot foul' Foden. I would also like to say a kudos' to my partner 'The angry German' for the trashing we laid on the afore mentioned twosome. I think with a bit of practice and a cool nick name other than 'Idiot' Guinness could make it a impact in the D.C.S. Captain try outs Saturday?

'The Daft Dutchman' (I kind of like it. :D)

That's Bull

Hey Dutchman Dafty, seriously your moaning and groaning about your three wee Bullseyes are in fact MOOT!!! Two arrows hit the GREEN so they are not that impressive... (By the Captains standards obviously)... keep your head up champ, with all the practice one day you might be able to shine my shoes and polish my boots;)

...from waxing his snowboard to waxing his DCS oppoenents

The fresh stuff on the mountain was too hard to resist on Thursday night, so I will respectfully accept the stiff decline in the rankings if the Executioner so chooses to do. (I had a winning record at my only appearance and was 1 for 1 against the Captain, and for the record at no time did he have a 150 point lead!) However, it should be noted that I have decided to volunteer my time in the Richmond school district, seeing how only 3 of 130 Richmond school basketball teams actually have coaches willing to put in the time. ( As this is a touchy subject on the DCS, I will simply leave it at that) This new endeavour, in combination with a full course load, has regretfully been responsible for my absence from the Buc for the past week. HOWEVER, there is a very good chance that I will be up for a game or two tonight (Friday) at the Buc or any other location. And yes, the dart tranquilizers will be making an appearance!

a switch-hitter

Thanks to casually throwing a few darts goofy style the sidewinder discovered that the darts flew with a proper arc when thrown with the left hand. This had to be investigatedand in front of a mirror it was to be noticed that the left arm was throwing straight. The right hand however was bent differently and the throw action moved to the right. This is like slicing a golf ball or putting spin on a tennis shot.Correcting a long time habbit will not be easy and may in fact cause even worse scoring and finishing temporarily;however in the long term sidewinder is cinfident the corrected form will result in a position atop the rankings.Perhaps DR.Franks at the U.B.C.h/k dept. will allow Double One to write his thesis on the mechanics of the dart throw.

A few matches today.........

There were a few new competitors in the D.C.S. today, and they started like most; unsuccessfully.......

The D.C.S. would like to welcome Ciaran "Bravedart" Mahon , Ryan "The Sniper" Neill, and Brad "Bulldog" Colwell to the circuit.........

I don't know all the results, so hopefully someone can help me...

Double In 4 - 0

Executioner 3 - 1

Sidewinder 1 - 2

El Nino 1 - 1

Total Package 1 - 1

The Sniper 0 - 1

Bulldog Colwell 0 - 1

Bravedart 0 - 3

Hurricane 1 - 1

Double In has been practising his finishing, and it showed. Although, I had at least 6 chances to finish the match. I was quite pleased with my play today, despite the long road trip out to Surrey, then Delta. It should be enough to keep me in the number one position for at least one more week.....

Home court.

Home court was good to me. I thought my scoring was off today ,but my finish was on fire. A D18 on 2 darts to beat Sidewinder and his "spawning salmon" technique. I also took the #2 ranked Hurricane out with a quick 3 dart combo.

My match with 'Executioner' was well played by both. It could have gone either way, BUT it didn't....:D I do feel my rankings should go up despite my shocking 1-8 on Wednesday. Simply because I'm a fighters champ. Hurricane and T.P. were there at least 40 mins before I and only had two matches. I was there for only an hour played four times and beat two of the top three ranked players.

I think Total Package saw my game today and ducked me. Bravedart welcome to the show.

welcome suckers

welcome to our 3 latest members.bravedart you have potential--captain,plesse note corrected spelling--mcmahon.Also correct Caldwell name.[despite his total lack of darts etiquette]I guess diddle to him means only one thing!Sniper ;you hold the distinction of holding the record for the only recorded scor e less than total package,s two.your score of 1 will be long remembered!Any ways nice to have some apprentices on board;the more the better as it will keep my ranking off the bottom. Congrats double-in on your d.18 finish-I thought I had you by the proverbials! However it was dissapointing that you had not reserved the boards yesterday;having to beg the manager to be allowed to play only added to the stress levels of me and the executioner.Sidewinder.[who cannot register in his own right on the site]

Figures........

Thanks for the name corrections. I should have known better. Hurricane gave me the names yesterday.

The rankings will be out tonight and I can guarantee one thing; Double In will NOT be moving up in the rankings, despite yesterday's performance over some fatigued players.

Double In, remember Wednesday? The rankings are based on the past week, not the past 24 hours. You might even be dropping a spot or two after Wednesday's woeful display of finishing......:p

The Executioner who WILL definitely hold the number one ranking for another week. :)
