Just checked the schedule and it seems that 1 team has either withdrawn or folded. Anyone have any idea who? Is it the Highlanders?

Read my mind, just came on to say that. The Highlanders are the only team not there anymore so it would have to be them. I hate bye weeks.

I know byes suck but it makes sense...there are 18 games for all the other divisions, why should D1 get one more on top of already most teams getting punted in cup play by prem teams...

Bye week will be nice if you get it before Christmas, terrible if you have it after winter break with the cancellations and postponements due to cup conflicts.

Bye weeks suck because it will most likely cause you to miss lots of games with our weather. 2 years ago Abby went 5 weeks without a game because their bye week fell on what happened to be the only nice weekend.

RE: Delta. Got a note from one of my ASSs that the club is in total disarray. VMSL team now Whitecaps residency, apparently not enough for a FVSL Prem team...who knows about the Highlanders. Lots of them over 35 now...

Highlanders are good to go.
Over 35's good to go.
Vancouver Spot on loan to Whitecaps.
Valley Premier spot will be filled as far as I know.

Disagree, work friday play a game friday night, thought 7pm might be too early for other teams to get to delta from work, we are always thinking of the people. Sure friday turns into a late night but when isn't it really. Now you get saturday and sunday free to pull your pud. Obviously there are advantages and disadvantages to every game time, I for one just like to bitch about everyone elses. NDFC to finish 6th this year...shambles

Did you sign a whole new team after last weekend?

If you're referring to the PCOV game, we were missing about 7 quality players. No excuse, you guys beat us hands-down. I think we have a rematch in a week or so. If our squad is out we will HAMMER you guys. Guaranteed.

As for new signings, CEO's just yanking your chain, we've added a couple marginal, fringe players at best. Lost our 'spiderman' goalie as well, no joke. Gonna be a tough go for our lot this year.

Hoping to stay afloat in a tough div 1.

agree... friday night games give you the entire weekend to spend with you family. not sure what you are going on about girth... unless you are saying you like saturday 2pm games so you can avoid your young family for the entire day.

depends on how you look at it, really... but im looking forward to taking threesix skiing this winter... on a saturday... after a friday night game.

All I'm saying is 9pm kick off is very late and the fam can't come watch...that's all. I love Friday games but 7pm or 7:30 start is where it's at.
