man oh man, of all the people you would think this kinda thing would not happen to. young, strong, fit and to top it all off he was a genuinely nice person.
and not a bad 'pitch and putter' as i have heard.
Tony, if you end up reading all these nice posts about your brother you should be proud of how Dom was appreciated by the people he met and the ones who only wished they had. he is an inspiration to many young soccer kids who heard Vic Rauter bellow out "Mobeeeeeeeeeeelio!!" when he scored for Canada
it brings a tear to my eye to write this...Condolences to your family
Dom was really an amazing person.
It didn't matter if he was with Stevie Mac, Cam Bowman or who ever.
Dom would always make you feel like he was generally happy to see you or who ever you were with.
What a breath of fresh air to have someone who never took himself to serious.
Class both on and off the field. He knew how to have a good time and make someone feel very comfortable.
Well done Dom, first class now and forever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Take care Tony and Family.
Everyones prayers are with all of you.
Domenic was truly a special player and person. His true potential as a coach had not yet been realised. I roomed with Dom on the "A" Licence course in Toronto this past summer and the passion and knowledge he showed as a player was also there as a coach. The finest out and out clinical finisher that I ever played with. He will be sadly missed. Especially by the kids in the future who will not be touched by his wisdom. A tragic day for everyone involved with the game here in Canada.
To the Mobilio family our heartfelt sympathies go out to you.
Prayers will be held this coming Wednesday, November 17th @ 7:30 PM at Our Lady Of Sorrows Church, which is located in the corner of Slocan and Pender. (Slocan and Hastings there is a Rogers Videos, just one block South of that).
The funeral will be on the next day, Thursday, November 18th at 10 am. (same place - Our Lady Of Sorrows Church)
Just found out this morning and am in utter disbelief. There is nothing really I can say that hasn't already been said in the previous posts but Tony, please know that Kate and I are thinking of you and our prayers go out to you and your family. Also, sincere condolences on behalf of Richmond United.
This new's is shocking
Deepest Condolences to his Family and Friends
Never had the opportunity to know him but shocking none the least
we graduated same year and I have a vague recollection of playing againest him ..
Their are alot of things that I have attached in my memories of Vancouver
sports History that when you think of the Team or person they are
always fondly attached always remembered never forgotten
Richard "King" Brodeur /Stan Smyl / Trevor Linden - Canucks
Bob Lenarduzzi /Carl Valentine - Whitecaps
Lou Passagalia (spelling) - BC LIons
Dominic -86 'ers
Left a mark and made a difference even if he wasn't meaning to
