Quarterfinal match venues and dates/times for this weekend should be set later today - I see the Coastal vs Port Moody is already scheduled for Saturday @ 6PM

TTP Bookie events are ready to go - most are set to close on Friday @ 5PM but I'll extend them as soon as the actual KO dates/times are published:

The UVIC West Van game is Sat at 4PM @ UVIC AT3. I think this is a rematch of the 2011 quarters in Victoria (or semis). Definitely was not at a University though.

Just couldn't get a bounce (or 6) in that first round, I'll need to roll up the sleeves and go 4/4 to get back to 50%!

Round of 16 2/8
Overall 2/8

QUARTER-FINAL PREDICTIONS:

UVic Alum v West Van
We open with the Match of the Round, as West Van, who avoid the upset I predicted in Round 1 rather easily it would appear, travel to the Island. The VISL's best had no major issues in their opener but can be sure of a tougher test. The travel makes this one a real wild card; which West Van team will show up? The one that choked down the stretch of the VMSL season, or the one that put Columbus to the sword in the Round of 16? Tough to anticipate, if they were at home I would think they are rounding into championship form, but away to the Island is a tough test for anyone. On top of that, what of the former students? Are they serious title contenders, or just making hay in their island paradise? Clearly many questions will have been answered once we arrive at full time on Saturday night. I think West Van has a W in them, but I just cannot bet against a league champion at home on the island...so much for going 4/4!

Port Moody v Coastal
Well no small town upset, but instead a good ol' FVSL grudge match. Port Moody had the better of it during the season, but Coastal dusted them off quite nicely on the grass at SSAP. This one is on the turf in PoMo though and the locals have the Championship on their minds after breezing through the opening round. Should be a cracker of a match and the Coastal boys do know how to get it done come cup season (and in Whiss apparently...), but I think the Tri Cities lads will show their pedigree and march on.

Metro Ford v Saanich
The Fusion are rewarded for their victory on the mainland with just what everyone wants: another trip to the mainland! Coquitlam handled the VMSL Champions with ease in the first round and have no doubt raised some eyebrows about a possible title challenge. No chance lighting strikes twice for the islanders, I've got the hosts comfortably in this one.

Delta United v Croatia
After their HUGE UPSET win over Westside in Round 1 Croatia have their eyes on the prize. I am sticking to my guns, having already predicted that the winner of Delta v Roma in Round 1 was inconsequential (yaya @Fire it UP bag of dicks...). I'll take the VMSLers, despite the nooner in farm country.

4-2 final.

From where I was, I thought all goals were well earned. Clearly, WV would like the first half back.
