You should have gone with the none picks there Cappy.

Missed the picks this week, and I am up for this weeks title.

I have New England, Kurgan and Bronco have Denver and both have 48 as the score.

All I need is the big New England win and HOS or Mr. Default gets the money.

Come on Pats.

Sorry Penner but there is a rule that specifically prevents people from sleeping in, missing their picks, yet still winning the weekly.

Personally, I believe you should get a zero.

All in favour, say Aye!

What happened? Were you camping?

No I was out with the boys from West Van at the River Rock, I guess they forgot to ask you to come, perhaps next time.

Come on you Mighty Pats.

Yep, I got the group email from the wvan boys..."Reedie, interested in going to the RiverRock tonight...we're going to get Penner hammered, steal his visa, and go have some real fun back on the shore..hahaha...if you can't make the casino, meet us back at Tantra!" Signed, Jose Maurinho et al

And I did.

You better check your statement.

Oh, what a night :wa:

I dont think you should be able to win the weekly with default picks either....
is there an existing rule for this eventuality?

Winning a weekly outright with default picks says more about the rest of us than anything else :(

To ward off this becoming a strategy for some  - I suggest that the default picks become a random choice between all home or all away picks. I also suggest that if you miss your picks more than 3 times, you will get a big fat ZERO each subsequent time you miss the deadline (this one is mainly for wasting my time - I have to enter default picks myself manually for each moron who forgets).

Thoughts?

I agree Regs, you should not have to waste your time entering picks in for people who can't be bothered to enter the picks in themselves. 3 strikes your out.:)

Also make the default picks all away teams.

My understanding of the default picks was that they make sure that a missed week doesnt kill you for the overall.

winning the week for having the most right picks when you didnt actually make any picks just aint right

Your understanding is correct - I/we just never foresaw default picks winning outright.

W/o having the specific rule in place, I/we can't now 'take away' HOS's weekly win.

However going forward, I will implement the above 'rules' starting for this weekend.

I'll send out an email shortly so that everyone knows what these additional rules are.

That sneaky HOS, I tell you, ruins it for everyone. I wasn't going to submit this week for a chance at winning, but now my crappy picks will have to do.

Agreed, though I think HOS should have to buy a round at the wind up function :)

and my picking has been horrendous, not just shitty.....
