Was discussing this last night with some people and thought I would throw it out there and see what you thought.

Was the caliber of what is refer to as “all time greatest” player that spectacular or so much better than the “great” players of today? Can you compare a Ronaldinho, Kaka, Ronaldo to a Pele?

I don’t deny that Pele was one of the greatest but the caliber of the game was different then, so the question is more did he have superior skills to today’s players?

I know I am going to get pissed on big time for this but…

I am going to say no. Pele never had to play against the talents of say a Maldini, Cannavaro, or Terry.
