PCOV 1-0 MF. I made it for the last 30 of the game. We were up 1-0 and heard we had a BS red (aren't they all
) in the 30th min. For the time I was there, I thought we played well a man down and hung on to a much needed 3 points. On to POCO on Monday (make up game).

Poco 7-2 PCOV. Both teams struggling for numbers on the day. It was tied at 2 at the half. Both teams missing their goalies and it showed. 2nd half clearly belonged to Poco as they countered on us alot and we had some costly turnovers to help the cause. Few weeks off for us should help.
PCOV - 3
Croatia - 2
Both teams missing a bunch of players and had only 1 injured sub each. Gomesy_jr with 2 brilliant header goals to give us a 2-0 lead. Croatia got back into the game with about 20 to go on an ugly free kick goal (by Skinner, I think) that went through Steve London's arms and legs and trickled over the line. Then tied it a few minutes later on a great strike from the top of the box again by Skinner. Luckily for us, Davey Griffiths scored the game winner with a hardworking, never quit goal.
Unfortunately with only a few minutes left to play, it looked like Skinner might have done his knee. He was in a lot of pain and I hate to say but he mentioned his ACL. Here's hoping it was just a stinger and a scare and nothing more serious.

Columbus' goalie, Marco D'Andrea stood on his head making at least 5 show stopper saves that looked to be labelled for the top corner in the first half. He was definitely the Man of the Match. We hit the crossbar twice and missed a few glorious chances in the second half as well. Columbus had a couple good chances but Steve London was there to shut the door.
All in all, it was an uneventful game with both teams only having one sub. Is it just me, or is pretty much every team struggling for bodies this year? We have 21 guys signed and I can't remember having more than 3 subs at any one game. We could blame a few injuries on the God-awful turf we have as a home field.

No finish from us and West Van capitalized on their chances. I'm glad to have 4 weeks off so our team can get healthy again.

I was looking at the standings from the "Excellent" site and noticed an error as it has Westside having played 14 games, when they have actually played 13.
Most teams only have 3 games left. A 16 game season made short by having only 9 teams in our division. Do we still pay the same League fees as a 10 team division that plays an 18 game season or 12 team division that plays 22?

I almost wanted to agree with Sir M , but to be different I will say PCOV vs Romania. Both teams were struggling heading into the break.
