Westside Masters is off to Chile for 10 days, it was arranged well before the season started. This the 3rd South American tour in the last 6 years: Peru, Argentina and now Chile.

It's good to know that the league is supportive of the 3 week layoff for team vacations. justwanttoplay and charlie are now organizing a 3-week Germany tour for Sapp.

One question: how are the teachers and others in the public sector at WS getting the time off? hmmmmm

We asked the governments of BC and Canada for a few weeks off. Permission granted, no problem.

If you don't ask . . .

And, it is 10 days (2 weekends). Westside just decided to take this past weekend off too.

I think that little "layoff" cost WS a chance at the league title. Now it's a 3-team race.

I think if you get a note from a doctor that you are sick and can't work for a couple of weeks; that works as well. But what doctor with an ounce of integrity do that?! I guess you just have to find the right doc; one with soccer skills, with close ties to the club, one willing to fleece us hard working private sector types who pay the high public wages just so his buddies can go on a vacation on the taxpayers' dime. Hmmm, if you can't find one I will keep a look out for you guys for just that type of "professional" doctor.

1 NIML - North Island Masters League - new with 4 teams.

20 teams total.

Well it looks like WAB will be right with his picks and add SU as the 7th team to get in!! Looks like the Romanians, Germans and Richmond can battle it out for the 2 relegation spots! Unless of course this is all a bogus quote from Jack the lad!!
