Cleo vs Sarajevo--Sarajevo two one
PCOV vs HNK Vatreni-Tie game
Bosna vs Nk Hrvat-Bosna two to one
Sighnmaster vs west Van Royals- Royals two to one
Kosova vs Douglas Park--Douglas park two to one.

It should be fun to see where things fall in place. NK could do better, but tomany young guys in the starting eleven could falter in first half.Second half it could be a benifit. PCOV has to do better this year.

Yaletown 1:1 KLM Alemania

Hard fought season opener for 2A....... Both sides wanted this one and it showed, as there was definitely a premium put on physical play. The balance of the play was in the Alemania end for pretty much the whole first half, although they did make a few forays into the YFC end. The Alemania keeper kept it 0:0 through halftime with some solid goalkeeping thwarting Yaletown's 3 or 4 top notch chances. The start of the second half had Alemania in control for the first 15 minutes, which resulted in a goal on a loopy 20 yarder that found the far top corner of the YFC goal. A couple more scrambles in front of the Yaletown net could have easily seen it 2:0, but Alemania just couldn't quite convert. After 20 more minutes of fairly even play, YFC started to control play for the final 15 minutes, putting on a lot of pressure and winning scores of corner kicks. The perseverance paid off 3 minutes from time with a low cross that eluded an Alemania defender and was shoveled under the keeper for a fitting equalizer. Alemania's man of the match had to be their keeper, who made several good saves and had no real chance on the goal. I'll definitely look forward to playing them again. As usual, the reffing was a little spotty, but there weren't any major incidents or controversies.

Lomas 2 - 1 Point Grey.

Yup - Lomas dominated early part of 2nd half and scored 2 quick ones to control this one. The first half was quite even and the latter half on the 2nd as well, but it came down to a 20 minute period in the early 2nd half that saw all orange.

Sarajevo 6 - Cleo's 0

It took Sarajevo 23 seconds to score first goal of a season. After, it was total domination by Sarajevo for entire first half leaving Cleo running around with out a single shoot toward the net and being down 4 goals. In second half Sarajevo decided to play keep away and just cruised towards 6 to 0 victory without Cleo treating the net not even once. It looks like a long season for Cleo this year, they did not show much if not anything today by not creating a single serious shoot towards a Sarajevo net.

Norwest 3 - 2 Norvan: Norvan need new sheets after shatting a 2 goal lead away. Norvan opened the scoring early on an opportunistic through ball and the same player out ran the Norwest Defence to grab a nice lead midway through the first half. Norwest claw back one on a defensive lapse before half. 2nd half play early on was mostly Norwest and they get the game even on a bad clearance that bounces off a player back towards our net to their player who makes some dekes at the 18 and dribbles in on net for a nice finish. We start to pick up our socks but are sunk on a play that was almost whistled down as one the Norwest players dropped at our 40meter line. Their player who had the ball kept on dribbling and despite having 2 defenders in the area, he dribbled into the 18 and sent a low ball through the legs of our defender and under our keeper. Most of the next 35 was all Norvan as Norwest circled the wagons but we failed to make it count. It was the first game and first time that the team had been together since last year(read...come to F-ing practice). Everyone knows what they need to do to be better.
Norwest was not a bad team. They have some players with handles but they will need some more organized play if they want to finish in the top half of the table. A few of their players like to come into tackles sliding with two feet a bit too often.

Division 3 teams from last year went 4-0 this weekend, with 15 goals for and only 2 against.

It says alot about some of the teams in Division 2.

Wasn't it someone from the east van socceroos that said it was a waste to bring up the stars because they would go right back down? It's gotta suck to lose to a "Div 3" team 5-0

That tells you that HNK Vatreni do have a good side. Ten men or not that is a big win for NK Hrvat.I am very suprised that Bosna only head ten men. These two sides always play good games against each other.PCOV must have taken them as a shaky side moving up. Each club in that group will be tough. In next four weeks you will see witch side is most fit. I was way off in two scores.
