Yes I have seen the Dickens/JAGS hollow man disappearance dozens of times RF. Dickens had to head the Villa Casino for one more, and got home at midnight. JAGS actually did a hollow man for the entire game.

Bored where do you see the Athletics finishing and more importantly will Dude's hair last the season or is just a thing of the past?

Athletics - 7th of 8th. Everyone that is ahead of them stays ahead of them except for GEU and Peace Arch Utd.

Dudes hair looks pretty thick, should hang on for many more years.

My hair however has been trimmed back completely - looking respectable again. May apologies to all my fans.

I see Poco, Delta, and Mission rounding out the top 3- in that order- at the end of the season. Mainly because Poco has played almost everyone that can potentially take points out of them (Mission, Delta, Athletic), and they've collected all 9 points. Mission is baffling to me, because when we played them, it was one way traffic, and when we played Poco, the difference between the two was very little (couple of mistakes and good finishing on Poco made the difference). That said, I think Mission is actually the best team, on paper, but their issue may indeed become keeping all those players happy. Delta gets my 3rd vote simply because they won it last year.

The best of the rest...to be determined. I feel we have as good a shot at top 5 as any.

As for my hair...honestly, this topic is getting old; too bad my hair isn't. I'm 35 now, and have a lot of stress in my life. I feel I deserve some salt and pepper mixed in. It grows so damn fast, I really only have about a 10 day window in every month for it to look it's absolute best. I tell you STD...it's a blessing, and a curse.

Re: Bored's hair. Thought it was plugs, or a rug, actually. Maybe a beaver pelt.

Dude, I think you probably played Mission on one of their best nights and us on a night we weren't at our best - I would say average at best. That happens, I think certain teams lineup against each other better than others as well. Lineups in Masters also change a lot week to week. We had a completely different starting midfield against Delta this week than we did against you guys. Perhaps you didn't have a strong lineup against Mission - one question I would have is did Chuck from premier play against Mission because I felt he made a difference against us in the backline and is difficult to play against. Anyways if you can field a good team each week you will finish top 5 but right now on paper it doesn't look that good.

Meh. Put it this way: you didn't surprise us. You guys were exactly what we figured. We went in hoping to shut you out, and sneak one in. Didn't quite work out that way, but in saying that, play that game 5 more time, we could win 3 of them.

Not Mission...and you're right, they deffinitely caught us on a bad day. Maybe we just match up better against Poco. Who knows.

As for Charlie; no doubt he helps. This is his future home, when his premier days are done. He figures this is it, but he said the same thing last season. He still contributes a lot to that team, so I see him staying signed there till he feels either too old, or LFC123 figures he's too old. Niether is true right now. So, even though his availability is limited this year, he's still "in the mix".

We have a lot of gelling to do, though. We'll see.

I agree with everything you said but beating us 3 out of 5 times is absolutely ridiculous. You may tie us 1 out of 5 times. Hopefully we can meet in the cup and have another shot at each other. I'll be sure to wear bigger shin pads if I venture over to the right side.

Lets be realistic JTL, bigger shin pads won't help you, because I kick you in the back of the legs.

You guys are 1 win out of our last 4 meetings. We have 2 wins, one tie, and one loss including this year. If I go back one more year to include premier, we get one more win, and one more tie. Seriously, you're just borrowing the bragging rights for one year.

I'm trying to work here Dude but you keep calling me back. You're going back how many years? Our team as it exists has only been together for a year maybe two at a stretch. On a 20 player roster we have 8 new players this year. If you look at our team 2 years ago we only have 8 players still on the team. So going back more than 1 year is a stretch but nice try. I would say our rivalry sits at 1 tie and 1 win for us. One kick in the balls and one spit in the face for your team. Thank you very much.

Just so everyone knows, staff are projecting one FVSL top five in the rankings at this point, and two or three maybe in the top ten.

The rankings should be out tomorrow.

Thank you for your patience.

If the league is split in 1/2 for tiering purposes the bragging rights will likely carry on for 2 years without playing another game. Langley would however be the best of the lower tier with expectation of playing up the following year.

You are such an angry, bitter person. This anger is driving you to do strange things, like build yourself and your team to be a lot better than you are, and wear a bad rug and / or male hair coloring solution. It's baffling.

You and your teammates have been unable to beat me and my teammates for a long time now, so I can understand that you are quite estatic about finally getting it done. I do get it. It's like when you were a kid, and Cap's had that shinny red bicycle in the storefront window. You know, the one that had the long seat, spring loaded shocks, and fake gas tank to look like a motorbike? And you saved up paper-route money for 4 years to buy it? Then when you finally got it, you rode the hell out of that thing until it was beyond repair? Kind of like that, right?

All that said, I think you have some insecurity issues you need to deal with, and release some stress. Recommend you go see "Doctor" JTL, and have him give you a nice snap. He'll fix you right up.

Wow,

ONE of us is indeed angry (spitting mad you might say), ONE of us thinks we are better than we are and the other is well, bored your rants. I suspect the anger comes from ONE of us knowing that the other is not far off the mark. It is a shame we don't play again this year in the league, but a cup match could be interesting. As long as everyone qualifies for the cup that is...

I think you are harboring old feelings, either from childhood, or in later years. Can't quite put my finger on it.

On Cup play, if I were to spitball our chances of meeting, I'd say relatively good.

Ok, enough arguing. This thread is about Sir M's Excellent Power Rankings. Sorry if this week's version is a bit abbreviated, as I need to punch these out fairly quickly. So here we go with this week's edition of:

Sir M's Excellent Power Rankings, 2009-2010:

1. Richmond Utd (VMSL). Last Rank: 14. Richmond, thanks to the brilliant play of the Zenedine Zidane of Master's football, have knocked off two VMSL fat cats in the last two weeks, and have taken over 2nd place in the VMSL Premier Masters division. Metro Ford next.

2. West Van FC (VMSL). Last rank: 1. This team drops after dropping a close one to RU, and then following it up with a win out at CAP. They get a bye this weekend. First place in VMSL at this point.

3. Port Coquitlam Castilians (FVSL). Last rank: 10. This side moves way up with an impressive win over Delta on the weekend, vaulting them right through the Cape Horn interchange into second place in the FVSL, and to a #3 ranking.

4. Sapperton Rovers (VMSL). Last rank: 13. Sapperton appear to have righted the old WAB-led ship, with a couple of wins. Hence, up 9 big spots. Currently third place in VMSL. Home to PCOV next.

5. West Side (VMSL). Last rank: 6. Westside moves up after their win at Metro Ford. Wickham next, in what should be quite a clash, certainly from a fashion perspective, if nothing else.

6. Columbus FC (VMSL). Last rank: 4. The BC Champs drop after their loss to RU, and are off to represent this province in the Western Canadians this weekend. :wa:

7. Wickham FC (VMSL). Last rank: 15. Wickham makes a big move after a couple of recent results which have moved them into 4th place in the VMSL. West Side next.

8. South Delta (FVSL). Last rank: 7. This club defeated FVSL powerhouse GEU Thunder on the weekend. They will be sikhing another win this coming weekend.

9. Surrey Utd (VMSL). Last rank: 2. Two straight defeats drop SU. They are currently in 8th place in VMSL. Cliff Avenue next in a match where they will have a chance to get back on track.

10. Delta United (FVSL). Last rank: 3. This side took it on the chin on the weekend. Fourth place in FVSL. I believe, due to pumpkin patch commitments this weekend :bronco: that they may have a bye. Of course, staff could be wrong as the FVSL site is about as reliable as Dickens.

11. Peace Arch FC (FVSL). Last rank: 5. Their tie against unranked White Rock drops this side. GEU next.

12. Peace Arch United (FVSL). Last rank: 12. Peace Arch throttled the Surrey Heaters easily on the weekend. White Rock next.

13. Mission FC Blues (FVSL). Last rank: 8. Les Bleus tied the Mighty All Blacks on the weekend. They face Aldergrove in a rather pastoral derby this coming weekend.

14. Metro Ford FF (VMSL). Last rank: 9. This team started well, but have dropped after their results over the last two weeks. Richmond next, and a chance to move up.

15. North Delta Alumni (FVSL). Last rank: 19. This side has woken up it appears, and are coming off of a 2-0 win over Aldergrove.

16. PCOV (VMSL). Last rank: 18. PCOV finally gets a result, a tie vs Wickham, in a game that staff member Captain Fantastic says they should have won. Away to Sapp next, a chance to move up.

17. Langley United (FVSL). Last rank: 16. LUFC tied Abbotsford, and drop one.

18. Langley All Blacks (FVSL). Last rank: unranked. Their tie against the always tough Mission puts the Mighty All Blacks back in the rankings.

19. Cliff Avenue United (VMSL). Last rank: 11. This team lost 4-1 on the weekend, and currently sit in 9th place in the VMSL. Surrey United next.

20. Nordic (NSCL). Last rank: unranked. Staff member Anti-Fan recommended that this team be ranked #2 behind the Hornets, but they debut at 20 in the 2009-2010 rankings. It appears the whole NSCL has a week off to give thanks.

So that is it, good luck everyone.

Rankings seem fairly reasonable with the exception of Langley Athletic. I am surprised 4 points in 4 four games in the FVSL earns you a top 20 spot. Sounds like Dude may be providing personal favours for Sir M if you know what I mean.
