Sir M:

I'm disappointed we didn't play our match today OR share our sausages. Just isn't the same eating them with family and friends in the hood... So, we'll have to wait until the downpour settles a bit....in the spring!!

On another note, has anyone heard when our league cup games begin? Not until January??

Zip it you little chort.

SCK, you will have to ask our handsome moustachioed Kappa tracksuited Portuguese friend about cup play etc, I am still just trying to get last year's trophy.

Rankings will be out tomorrow now, unfortunately Sir M had about the first 17 teams ranked and posted when he took the 80 mile an hour fastball Mrs. Sir M (love you dear) fuzzy slipper in the left ear, and he hit the wrong button, and they are gone. Tomorrow.

In the meantime I'm getting the east wing couch ready and hiding my eyes from Mrs towel on the head avocado or cucumber or something paste on the face (super attractive).

Uh-oh, have to go now...incoming...

sir m....all those slippers to the head from mrs. sir m has effected your spelling...case in point ( portugese is incorrect...correct way is portuguese )...sport chek has 50% off ccm hockey helmets which you should be wearing around the house since mrs. sir m was spotted by dickens_ciders at mark's work warehouse purchasing steel toe boots...i think that would hurt a liitle more than a slipper...you should be safe in garage...

So anyway, the Mrs. has snuck out now, its Clinique bonus days. Or theres a new shade of Chenille, or a sale on the "Ab Lounge" or something down on Bellevue Ave.

This week features two matches showcasing the top four teams in the rankings as they match up head-to head:knvb: . So now it is time for this week's edition of...The Legacy of North Del... (oops don't know where that came from)...

Ok, lets start over...

So, now its time for week 9 now of:

Sir M's Excellent Power Rankings:

1. Surrey United (VMSL. Last week's rank: 1). Defeated #11 PCOV away in Burnaby on the turf this week. Quite a few players with a North Delta legacy on this fine side.

2. Sapperton Rovers (VMSL. Last week's rank: 2). Idle this week, and didn't play either. Big away game out in Surrey this week, probably depends a lot on how many Prem players they get out if they want to take top spot, staff advise.

3. Westside F.C. (VMSL. Last week's rank: 3). Also did not play this week, and get #4 Metro Ford at home this weekend which will have a great bearing on the top four spots in these rankings.

4. Metro Ford Wolves (VMSL. Last week's rank: 4). Defeated last week # 13 Wickham on Friday, 2-1. Many great players from the legacy of Coquitlam on this side. Will have to kick it up a notch this week against WS away, but have it in them, staff advise.

5. ICSF Inter (VMSL. Last week's rank: 5). No change this week for SCK's side, did not play, rivals PCOV up next at home.

6. Columbus F.C. (VMSL. Last week's rank: 6). Were also postponed this last week, have last week's #18 SFU this week, could be moving up. This side as well as #5 Inter have many players from the legacy of East Van in the fold.

7. Peace Arch United (FVSL. Last week's rank: 7). Many staff made a very good case for the FVSL leaders, a team with North Delta legacy Brant, as well as numerous others, to move up, but are not quite there yet...thumped Aldergrove 4-1. Get formerly #20 (2 wks ago) Sapperton Old Boys up at historical Erma Stevenson Park this weekend in Cup play.

8. Vancouver Firefighters. (VMSL. Last week's rank: 8). Idle last week. Yes they have won but one game but the BC Champs are very very hard to beat. Ask SU, MF, WV, WS, SFC et al...

9. Surrey F.C. Rangers. (FVSL. Last week's rank: 10). Did not play, but move up one.

10. West Van F.C. (VMSL. Last week's rank: 9). Did not play, but drop one. Staff say that the two FVSL teams are way better than these guys.

11. Portuguese Club of Vancouver (VMSL. Last week's rank: 11). (I think I spelled that right SCP)? Lost 5-3 to #1 SU on Friday, get Inter next but is Fonseca suspended?

12. Nordic F. C. (NSCL. Last week's rank: 19). A big move up after being unlucky to just tie #17 Coveside while playing most of the match without their top player and with but 10 men.

13. Wickham F.C. (VMSL. Last week's rank: 13). Hold their spot after scrapping hard on Friday against MF away, only to lose 2-1. West Van next.

14. Cliff Avenue Utd. (VMSL. Last week's rank: 12). Actually drop two spots after a 4-2 win against a team from the legacy of Cracovia. Hard to judge this side staff advise...

15. Richmond F. C. (VMSL. Last week's rank: 14). Did not play and dropped one, welcome to West Van's world. Firemen next, away, could be tough.

16. Langley All Blacks (FVSL. Last week's rank: unranked). This All Black side dismissed last week's #16 Mission 2-0 to make their debut in these rankings. Is one of Sir M's personal favourites, Five Big Toes, still affiliated?

17. Delta Metro United (FVSL. Last week's rank: unranked). This Delta side who have many players with a legacy of...never mind... re-appear in these rankings after an 8-0 drubbing of GEU this last weekend.

18. SFU Alumni. (VMSL. Last week's rank: 18). Did not play this last weekend, and things are not looking any brighter as they have Columbus this week, but at least they are at home.

19. Coveside F.C. (NSCL. Last week's rank: 17). Drop two after a lacklustre performance against Nordic on Sunday.

20. Mission Blues (FVSL. Last week's rank: 16). Round out this week's rankings after dropping a 2-0 decision to the All Blacks this last weekend.

Sir M out...and still in a good mood. A little Canucks action coming up.. and you know who is spending some of my extra cash tonight, and believe me it is worth it.

Good luck to all, hopefully more matches get played this weekend.

Sir M, surely Gameboy's witty slagging of Coach has to earn Sapp old Boys at least an honourable mention in here, if we are going to have to stomach seeing The Ballsacks make the Top 20?( Let's not discuss our recent form, however. We all know that form has nothing to do with these rankings.)

Sir M....Nice to see you finally running in the BLACK...

The Men in Black have arrived just in time to spoil the Party once again....:knvb: .....looks like we already have for Shitee Nose....Maybe if they "stay off the grass" :wa: and quit selling off all their players to pay off their gambling debts they may make an appearence here one day themselves. :D

As for FiveBeerTits well, his playing days are over, however his mouth is still going strong...rumor has it there may be a cameo at some point down at the Oval...Knees withstanding.....Tickets will be 5 Bucks at the gate...better hurry..

For those of you that are out of the loop, twoleftfeet is not a thread nickname, it is merely a fact.

Hey, NoLeftNut, well done on the ranking, and the well thought out slag. Didn't see it coming. As for selling our squad, we still await payment for Mcfarlane.Wow, for "The Misfits Of The Valley", we sure have got teams knocking for free agents. We had to let them go, we are already over the salary cap.
Yours Truly,
Shitee Nose (hee, haw, hee, it's a knee slapper)

C'mon Sir M...nothing like a little country flavor to spice up the thread...:knvb: You see we're all related out here so its like one big family fued....besides, you started it...

TwinkleToes...I must admit your handle does pose certain challenges for slagging. Your team however is quite the opposite. You are correct tho, no thought whatsoever put into my slag...it was a no-brainer. ;)

As for Andy Mac...CHQ's in the mail.

Just for everyone's information, the last game that 5BT made an appearance under Sir M's tutelage...

Five Big Toes scored 4 goals in one half.

And that is a fact.

Ok. It was another light week, so not a ton of movement in the rankings, especially near the top. But all of the scores are in. Staff have noted a bit of cross-league snippiness, primarily originating from the 2006 BC Champs and most feared team in the league camp, which is all good. In any event, it is time for this week's edition of:

Sir M's Excellent Power Rankings:

1. Surrey United. (VMSL. Last week's rank: 1). Idle this last weekend, have played some skilled teams this year and some hard working teams but not too many with both qualities at the same time. They expected more out of West Van and MF to be honest. They are away to Richmond this week.

2. Sapperton Rovers. (VMSL. Last week's rank: 2). Were rained out against SU this weekend, at home this coming week to Inter which staff advise should be a very good game.

3. Westside FC "A". (VMSL. Last week's rank: 3). Also did not play against (see below) Metro Ford. Take on West Van this coming Sunday at Ambleside.

4. Metro-Ford Wolves. (VMSL. Last week's rank: 4). Their game against (see above) Westside was also cancelled. SFU next.

5. ICSF Inter. (VMSL. Last week's rank: 5). Idle last week, take on SAPP in a men from boys separation match this coming Sunday.

6. West Van F.C. (VMSL. Last week's rank: 10). Jump up 4 spots after an emphatic away defeat of Wickham by 5 on Friday. Westside at home next.

7. Columbus F.C. (VMSL. Last week's rank: 6). Drop one spot after just narrowly edging SFU on the turf on Sunday morning. At home to VFF next.

8. Peace Arch United. (FVSL. Last week's rank: 7). Did not play their cup game this weekend, and have a huge game coming up this week against Surrey FC Rangers.

9. Vancouver Firefighters. (VMSL. Last week's rank: 8). Did not play and also drop one spot. Are not an O35 team anymore...staff think it's more like an O42 team...but they do love the teams using the "CAT' system to better their record cause it really helps them in the BC's....let's count back 5 yrs...VFF'S,Rangers,Surrey,Columbus,VFF's (not necessarily in that order) ..imagine that..the old farts ranked 8th (last week, 9th this week) have won twice in the last 5 yrs...Big game against rivals Columbus this week coming up.

10. Portuguese Club of Vancouver. (VMSL. Last week's rank: 11). Also did not play this week, played a lot of poker on Commercial instead. At home to Wickham this week. Up one.

11. Surrey F.C. Rangers. (FVSL. Last week's rank: 9). Drop two spots after their cup loss to last week unranked Aldergrove on Friday eve. Huge game against PAU coming up, which will move them up a few if they win, and down a lot if they lose. If they tie they'll probably stay about the same.

12. Cliff Avenue United. (VMSL. Last week's rank: 14). Move up two spots even though they did not play, due mostly to some mediocre results by teams in this area of the rankings on the weekend. Get 2nd place Div 1 Lusitanos next.

13. Richmond Utd. (VMSL. Last week's rank: 16). Up three after not losing this weekend. In tough this week against #1 Surrey U.

14. Mission F.C. (FVSL. Last week's rank: 20). Up a big 6 spots after a convincing cup win against last week's #16 Langley All Blacks.

15. Wickham F.C. (VMSL. Last week's rank: 13). Drop two after a pretty bad loss to West Van on Friday eve, but staff advise they are a better team than they showed on the weekend. PCOV next.

16. Nordic F.C. (NSCL. Last week's rank: 12). Make a drop after a not too impressive 1-0 win against unranked Malones on Sunday.

17. Delta Metro United. (FVSL. Last week's rank: 17). This valley team maintains their spot after a cup win against basement dwellers GEU.

18. Coveside F.C. (NSCL. Last week's rank: 19). Idle on the weekend, get Norvan next.

19. SFU Alumni. (VMSL. Lat week's rank: 18). Lost a close one to Columbus this morning. Away to Metro Ford this coming week. Showing signs of life.

20. Aldergrove United. (FVSL. Last week's rank: unranked). Back in the rankings after their big cup win against SFC on Friday.
