I always remember playing for Coquitlam celitic when we played Queens Park Rangers. Alec Reffed the game and was in his element. Came into both dressing rooms after the game and gave everyone a swig from his special supply of whiskey.
You may have disagreed with the way he called some games, but you can never question his love for the game and the way he enjoyed being around the lads. Personally. I think its a huge loss to Vancouver football.
He was an amazing character and will be greatly missed
