My apologies

I'd just like to apologize to G-Spot and Harp for 'airing your dirty laundry in public.' I realize it wasn't my place to mention anything, especially on TTP. My bad, boys. I hope you guys work out your differences. I was talking to someone on the phone about the incident and it sparked my curiosity, so I posted. I realized the next day that I had no business inquiring about Temple's team matters. No hard feelings I hope. All the best.

The final

GN 1- PFC 0, GN scored in the first minute on a questionable call. Our goalie came out to challenge for the ball with a slide tackle, and as the ref turned to see the play, he saw our goalie miss the ball and clip the GN striker, who missed the ball as well. He went down and the ref was forced to make the call. GN potted the PK and that was all the scoring they needed. It wasn't a very exciting final, GN was unlucky not to capitilize on their other chances. PFC had a couple of good chances too, but nothing materialized. GN works the counterattack better than any team in the tournaments, their CMF just sends out the ball to the streaking outside MF or strikers and before you know it, it's a 4 on 3 inside 30 yards. Anyways, congrats to GN on winning their own tourney. Does anyone know the draw for the next one, I heard it's in 2 weeks again, at Newton. Is this the last one? Can we start training for winter?! Anyone know?!

GN win

Congrats to GN on their win. It was a boring final just as most have been other than the Vancouver tourney. The first is usually the best.
GN 2 tournament wins no semis out of 4 not bad
Akal 1 win two 2nd's out of 3 tourney's
Van U. 1 win 1 final 2 semi out of 4 tourney's
PFC 1 final 2 semi out of 4
Temple 1 semi
temple B 1 semi
Abbotsford 1 semi

Gn is the new Dynasty? they have 2 wins although they beat abbottsford in the semi of this one
Which in your opinion is the best team so far in 2003
Ranking
1. Akal FC
2. Van u.
3. GN
The tourney could settle things.
Will PFC win a tourney this year?
Will Temple A & B combine to reach success?
Van U. will they get another chance to put a article in the paper?
Hope Not?

Ranking Teams

Hello Competitor Paji

As far as ranking the teams goes, I kind of think that pretty much all the teams as of now are all at the same level. There really isn't that much difference between this team and that team. However, if I had to pick one team out of the community that really stood out relative to the others I would definately pick out Akal Football Club because lets face it, like them or not, they are the best. I wouldn't rank the teams as 1, 2, 3 because other than Akal there are only mediocre level teams and after that there are those teams that just show up to get a good old fashioned ass kicking:

Strong Team(s):

1. Akal Football Club

Mediocre Level Teams:

Punjab Football Club
Vancouver United
Guru Nanak Sporting Club
Sikh Temple FC "A"
Sikh Temple FC "B"

Poor Teams:

Abbostford United Soccer Club
Sikh United Football Club
Khalsa Sporting Club
Guru Nanak Sporting Club "B"
Shar-e-Punjab Football Club

Now as far as the last tournaments final goes, I thought it was a very disappointing and boring final also. The pace was very slow and there was absolutely no emotion shown on either side. The once very bitter rivals from the under 8 youth days who pretty much grew up and played against each other since there first tournament in may of 89 proved to show that rivalries amongst our teams no longer exist. These kids of ours pretty much grew up hating each other to the point where both teams would do whatever it took to win, whether it was by cheating or whether it was by fighting. And how could both these teams forget the ID checks after every single game we played against each other :D We can see that rivalries are quickly vanishing and that teams are starting to get along with each other which in a way is a very good and satisfying thing, however the desire to watch a game where no emotion is involved is going to be boring, but it is nice to see players getting along now.......the same can not be said for Sikh Temple Football Club :p

Iam not making any excuses but the only reason why my team lost this finals was due to the fact that Todd was unavailable for us to play in the finals. His absence proved to be the deterant of our loss........YAAAAAAAA RIAAAAAAGHT :p

This was our first finals appearance in three years. It was fun being part of the main event but it was a disappointing loss.

on behalf of the PFC bhangra team, see you all in 2 weeks, lets hit the dance floor boys

ek gal minu dasso this kaun ya? gusa ni, odhhein puchday ya!
anywayys pfc, but back in those days we were shotting stars, used to have a brutal rivilary with GN. but those days are n the past! i enjoyed seeing these 2 past rivals on the same pitch again, it was not to exciting of a game, but GN got licky with the eraly PK, if it was not for that I believe the game may have gone to OT, or maybe even a shoot out! Well the GN squad played hard as did we! have a good 10 days, because pfc, ging to be back to make you fell liserable again.
excuse the spelling mistakes!
and reshams buddy, i have to agree with you PFC does know how to do the BHANGRA!

Why not Big T? It's only a tourney. I know your team is thinking they will get blown out without your imports, but come on it's only a tournament.

The "MEDALLIONS" have a competitive spirit, and the MEDALLIONS will be greatly missed in the tourney, because the MEDALLIONS are a great bunch of guys.

G-spot

i couldn't agree more...SUFC does have a competitive spirit and we will be greatly missed and we are the best bunch of guys to hang out with. It helps to have pornstars on your team. :D

Last tourney we had too many injuries and guys missing to field a competitive squad. All I heard was that we probably won't have enough guys, so we might not be in this tourney.

As for the T, I have a wedding to attend on that day, plus if I did show up you might try another dirty tackle :p You saved Sandhu's ass, he was scared that I was gonna score and he'd never hear the end of that. :D he tells me that he thanked god for giving you a large GAAANDD !! :D

:wa: WIDE LOAD :wa:

Big T

PS - Hey hardballz thanks for the help this weekend....your breakaway reminded us all of ronaldo....except next time take a shot instead of passing it to the keeper, ok.
 :D

He had a breakaway at either end but he scored on the MEDALLIONS end though, didn't he?

Oh HARDBALL you good guy.

And BIG D (DIP), the big GAAND was made from hard work and determination, i wasn't born with a big GAAANDE!

Buddy, I heard rumours that you got implants, please confirm ;)

My source was none other than Chacha Yowen Choogles. Come out come out wherever you are. :D

Back on topic - any predictions for this weekend ?

Who does temple have coming out this weekend ? r u playing g-spot ? If temple is missing guys it will be tough for them to make the finals.

I think Akal is going to take group A and Gn will take group B. The other semi finalists will be Temple and PFC.

Final - Akal vs GN - GN wins their 3rd tourney.

Big T

PS - We are NOT in the tourney.

What about MEDALLIONS? Who do they have? I heard Amitabh is going to make an appearance. Please confirm. Are there any imports allowed? If there are, who do MEDALLIONS have coming out?

big D (DIP): What's gonna happen, boy?

PFC over VAN U

It was a great match, both teams played exceptioanlly well. PFC started te scoring off. up 2-0 when VAN U put one away. later PFC's Bal Kandola puts one in from outside of teh 18 tard box. The keepr Char didnt have a chance from where he was standing. Soon Char was pulled, and Peter Virk was put in net. VAN U scored a goal, and had many chances afterwards. The ball was to the side of the net close to the 18, and Anwar came out to make a save, but the ball was taken away before he got there, so PFC's keeper Anwar was far out of his net, and the ball was crossed over, bounced off a few heads and was kicked out far enough for Anwar to get back in net. In the end PFC 3, VAN U 2. :wa:

GUDWARA TOURNEMENT!

Well the semi finals were shitty for us! beat us 4-1! Akal beat Van U 4-3, with a goal in the last min. I heard some of the Akal supporters say that Van U was the better team and that Akal got lucky. But that doesnt matter, luck is a part of soccer! just not a big part!:D
The finals were not the best, Akal blew Temple away, i dont remember the score, but temple was gone after the 3rd goal. Well The next tournement that a majority of the teams are in is the Kamloops one. it is on August 9 and 10! That should be a fun tournement! anyways train hard!
