It's all about trends, all about trends. Moyer was due for a loss and Hampton was due for a good outing. Cincy pounded Philly last night 15 - 1 and there was a brawl. Florida pounded Texas 8 - 0 in Texas last night and Texas had their 'ace', Ismail Valdes on the mound tonight. I am going to make another $25 bet on three games for tomorrow once I notice any potential sweeps/pitching match-ups.

There are few things that jump out for tomorrow. You can make your selections based on these or you can do the opposite.

1) Cleveland has lost 3 in a row at home and is due for a win. Hideo Nomo is pitching for the Dodgers and he is only 6 -6 with a decent 2.74 ERA. HOwever, he is only 1 - 3 lifetime in Cleveland. I know this is not the same Cleveland team of the last 10 years but they have enough fire power to do the job, and they will be a good price. Take Cleveland in the RUN LINE. Even if LA wins the game, Cleveland will probably keep it close. Take the +1.5 runs.
Billy Traber, the Indians' starter, is 2 - 0 at home and has had plenty of run support too.

2) NY Yankees/St. Louis - Since there were 17 runs scored in today's game, look for tomorow's game to go UNDER the total. I'm guessing the total will be 8 or 8.5 but Woody Williams is on the mound for St. Louis with a record of 8 - 1. His ERA is a very respectable 2.33 and Mike Mussina (3.05) is on the mound for the Yanks. I can see a 3 - 2 win for one of the teams. For the record, St. Louis lost the first two games of the series BUT I would never bet against the Yankees at home, despite owning a South Delta like mediocre record of 18-17. Play the UNDER.

3) Phil/Cincy - In the first two games of the series, there have been no less than 30 runs scored, with each team winning a blowout. Look for this game to go UNDER. Vicente Padilla pitched a gem in his last outing for Philly and is 2 - 1 against Cincy lifetime with an ERA less than 2. Paul Wilson has an ERA of 3.03 at home and gave up 1 run and 5 hits in 7 innings in his last outing against the Phils. Play the UNDER.

4) Tor/Cubs - Play the OVER. It was a low scoring game today and both starting pitchers tomorrow have ERAs over 5. Cory Lidle was rocked in his last outing and tends to go on streaks, whether they're good or bad. Shaun Estes has a 6.06 ERA on the road this year and is only .500. Toronto has a team batting average of just under .300 against lefties.


Of course that I have analyzed these games, they will be losers. However, I will be playing a 3 gamer. Good luck, Power.
