All three teams are trying to avoid sweeps at home. I hate betting on shite teams like the Brewers and underachieving teams like the Mets but I am going with the percentages. The Mets were clubbed in the first two games against a hot Philly team and then lost in extra innings today. Glavine has pitched better lately but has not had any run support. Myers has been steady on the mound but not spectacular.

Milwaukee is shite but Cincy is not that much better. This is just going with a home team who is trying to avoid a sweep.

Arizona has been whacked in the first two games of the series after comleting a hugely successful road trip. Brandon Webb is 3 - 1 at home this year in 7 starts with an ERA under 3. Jim Brower is normally a relief pitcher but is getting the start tomorrow because of the all-star break coming up. More importantly, Arizona is now 6 games back of the Giants for the division lead and would obviously like to go into the break 5 out rather than 7. The Giants might let up a bit too because of this. They were going into the series with a 4 game lead and wanted to make sure they got at least one win. Well, they won two and will leave Arizona with an increased lead.
