Temple vs. Aldergrove...

First......Why is Aldergrove in this league....who wants to drive all the way out there? Temple started with 10 and played with 10 for the first 5-10 minutes. We then took a 1-0 lead. The second half a questionable pk was called and Aldergrove tied it. Temple ended up winning in pk's.

We've had Langley teams in this league also.
In fact, Div. 2 has more Eastern Valley teams (I think).
It's just that the strong teams alwys come from the west
with Aldergrove coming into the upper echilon.
I personally like the fact they're in it.
Think of every second week the trips they have to make.
It's only once out there and they're worthy.
My two bits.

After 90 minutes, Rangers dominated.
The ratio of pint guzzlers between teams at the onset was an OK challenge, but after 15 minutes the wiley veterans took over.
Some of the young lads put on a brave face and tried to force their 3rd pint down their gob and I respect them for that.
Good for them, I guess they were the few who didn't have Biology and Algebra 12 finals in a week or so.

So it's Parkside then? 264th and fraser hwy. By the way Ranger it's only two on the trot right now, but we are still on a run Hey pussycats, next time we will definately have a full squad, and won't be still on the mend from the May long weekend victory celebrations Off to the Grove this week.

Last night was a bit fast for my likings.
The inter-club match ended up with those dirty young whiny-assed fcukers coming out on top.

Both sides were a little short but all in all a pretty decent game.
These guys will give the likes of PAU a good challenge.
We missed a few chances so did they.
I certainly shite the bed with the sitter of the day.
Davie Sherle stood on his head and KNVB Keeper played very well too for them.
Our goal was a bit fishy as it was an own goal, but a decent build-up though.
Their second goal was an incredible individual effort with the guy leaving about five guys' ginch on the pitch with him slotting it past Davie.
Nice goal sonno.

Overall, a fair result at the end of the day.

Yoda was outstanding last night.
He battled long and hard afterwards and outlasted most Rangers and Peg boys indulging in a few pints but declining the chance for glory in a looney toss.
I was very impressed.

Oh, and he played a not bad game too.

I had the forward it was up to the other 4 guys to get the guy with the ball. I stopped the last breakaway did I have to get that one too?

Temple was spanked by Peach Arche 4-1 as far as I remember. Peach Arche is the best team we played so far and is the team to beat. We just played fcuken awful all around....I think it went downhill after I subbed myself out of net and put the regular keeper in ( who was late ).....not blaming our keeper ( well maybe 1 or 2 ) but our team just played like shite! We've hit alot of injuries but no excuses but.... .....Lions next week.

They were down a man or 2 for the first 10 min. or so. We scored an early goal, they got 2 I think before half.
There was no intensity what so ever on the pitch thursday night. Lots of the guys knew eachother on each team and it just seemed like a friendly scrimmage. I guess that what summer league really is though.
Yah, comparing to the weekend we just had it was a joke. Lots of guys still getting over bumps and bruises from Vernon. good fun though, clean game and a easy match for Kevin to ref.

Sorry I couldn't make the game last night boys. Got home a little late and it was a bit of a drive for me to get to aldergrove for game time.

What were the results?

Could the defense handle a game without me?

Defence was very solid. Throttled the Grove 6-1. Some sweet goals. Ugly night though, J had his eye smacked shut in a clash and one of their lads is writing to Santa for his two front teeth after heading his own guys melon. But thanks for complaining about the drive, we all live so close ourselves, and it was great having no subs and watching RF and I play all those minutes. A beer is in order for both of us tomorrow, as well as maybe a massage parlour stop on the way back to KOB's
