Will they be playing out of their facilities at UBC?

If so, good luck getting to/from Chilliwack for a 7PM Friday KO :)

I don't get it. Fcuking do it right and put an entry into USL FFS. Personally, I hate this move.

It's an 8-month stop gap.

The U23 team will be in the MLS Professional Reserve league in 2022, as will all of the MLS-run USL teams.

Nice now we can use that 1 million to give Baldy and Tiebart a nice raise. Maybe even sprinkle in a bonus for Nerwinski. Use whatever is left over to bring back eric (bad first touch) (e money) hurtatdo and this team will really go places!

so they lose a DP for nothing because they couldn't figure out how to get him a work visa... and now have a single DP on the roster who they only acquired because his previous team had to shed a foreigner.

fascinating.

Not sure if it's possible, but I think TFC is worse than the Caps, watched their game today and they were pathetic!!!!

Lol.

MDS strikes again. Stop fcuking around with your backline when trying to close a game out.

Well, I PVRed this and was going to try and avoid all WFC news today. Saw your post and couldn't resist.

Avoiding news is so easy.

Listening to Mountain FM this morning, their sports clip covered the Stanley Cup Final, the Euros, local athletes, and a bit of the Canucks. Not a peep on WFC.

Listening to Kurtenbloggers right now and it's all Stanley Cup and Euros, and I think / hope Halford does this on purpose to prove his point, that they have become irrelevant in the market.

Will watch tonight with the same interest as watching a car wreck.

Nah. Maybe their organization is shite (saw what must have been a replay yesterday, was watching passively), and at least their attack does look like they have dangerous players, but to me it seemed that although they were dangerous, they weren't working well for each other.

For sure their personnel is far better than WFC.

....just read on Twatter that Chris Armas has been relieved of duty. Once again, TFC several steps ahead of WFC in terms of taking actions, and this one took too long.

post-match, MDS comments that they can handle the 90, it's just the ET that's their problem.

actually, your keeper stood on his head to keep you in a match you were badly outplayed in, against a team at the bottom of the table that sold off much of their talent in the off-season...

if he thinks that's handling the 90, he needs a Brian Burke limo ride to the airport - now.

Fcuk me. How old were you when you learned the match is never over at 90? You train yourself to play THROUGH 90! Christ, 12? 13? Younger nowaday?

If you are a pro at any reasonable level, and you are falling apart in stoppage, this is now about mental make-up and preparation, or lack thereof. Closing out a match isn't a skill, it's an attitude.

TFC will bounce back. They have the firepower and management to turn things around quick. They will make whatever changes they need to and fast to get back on track.

The injury bug has hurt them as well along with trying to play a new system that no one is comfortable l with under Armas.

Tough loss for the caps in extra time.

Losing cava and crepeau to gold cup isnt gonna help thing get any better....

it's also a tell-tale sign that you're just not good enough.

as for TFC, they'll get Altidore back right away. He got into a snit with Armas over being subbed off earlier in the year; this gives them both the opening to say "water under the bridge" and let's try again... they'll also spend as needed to upgrade the roster, something the Whitecaps will just never do under this comatose ownership...

I do think mental toughness can be trained, but 100% the manager has a huge role in closing out a match. Both in setting expectations / mindset, but in his FCUKING MANAGEMENT of the game!

Some players are just nails when the going gets tough, others fold easy. Likely our roster budget attracts a lot of the later.
