Sporting looked "cold" and uninterested most the game but worked hard to press for the equalizer at points. Langley was unfortunate not to score a few more throughout the match and definitely deserved the W.
From the amount of vacation time per year and from my experience teachers regurgitating the same lessons year in and out, I think teachers are adequately compensated.
The SU is the 2cat team for Surrey in the winter and also defending Knight league champs. I played in their first game this summer and we looked like crap but they'll definitely be back near the top by the end of the summer.
Well playing is always the main joy but getting better and developing and moving forward is always an added bonus. When I played in 2 cat we won our side and for myself I found it be a big whoopee doo. Glad you guys enjoyed it so much and congrats man.
As far as no beers I only drink hard...
So Regs do you think a div 2 cat league is beneficial then? When I was playing in div 2 cat many moons ago and got my call ups I still found the actual 2 cat a waste of time. No promotion to play for and winning your side really does nothing. It's pretty much play and wait for cup play and...
I'm going to have to agree with Socceroos when he says that they are a good squad. Just look, if you added up all their point totals from the last three seasons I think they'd be close to being first in the division. :D You guys do average about 4-6 points a season no? ;)
It's actually not a crap comment at all. It doesn't matter if you win every game or lose every except for your pride of course. Playing 2cat is just for the enjoyment of playing the game.
Just to help Socceroos out, here is the standings. You may want to pick up a few wins before running your mouth anymore :D
GP W T L GF GA PTS
1 Richmond United "B" 5 4 1 0 12 3 13
2 Westside Rino "C" 5 4 0 1 9 5 12
3 WFC Rangers "B"...
Bondra has been a stud for years and is a solid addition to any squad. As far as the Leafs winning anything, c'mon who you trying to fool yourself? :p Everybody knows the Leafs making the second round will be a big accomplishment for this squad
While the top div 1 side versus the bottom side from the Premiership is interesting I think the MOTW definitely would be Langley vs. ND. Langley is a solid side I see an upset in the making here.
Definitley a loss to the nucks but not an injury that they can't overcome. He's a good defensive player which the Canucks don't lack. Now if they could just keep working on the team defence ;)
I agree it would be nice to play all games not just cup on natural grass. As turf fields are part of the whole season I don't see a reason that games shouldn't be played on turf fields though.
I don't see any CAT sides winning it all. The top sides aren't extremely good on either CAT side with the exception of Peg and Surrey. The problem lies in playing terrible competetion all year then meeting up with the other div.2 sides that have been battling for promotion all year. It's too...
Game 12 Langley United FC P Sat Delta Metro United P Should be a beauty of a game
Game 13 GEU Ultra CAT North Delta Lions P
Game 14 Whalley Storm D1 Poco City Dominion CAT Even with guys missing The Storm have too much depth and heart
Game 15 Aldergrove United P GEU Ultra P
Game 16 Langley...
The Surrey U C boys are always a good bet. As a former member they've always run into suspension problems near the end of the season and in cup play, leaving a lot of their key players left holding their wanker when it counts.
Well thanks for agreeing there Ranger. Since your side is on top of the standings there's not much I can say bad about your side. Being an aging out of shape veteran I would have to say I can appreciate the style of play the Surrey "Ifyoucan'tplaywiththemhackem'" Rangers employ;)
From what I've seen it looks like the Storm will be headed for a downfall. This team doesn't appear to have the heart or the skill to beat the top teams. They play decent when playing the bottom half teams, but can't seem to win when it counts.
