Add Sapperton to the list of Premier teams playing Friday night games.

Note: The VMSL (Sapperton mostly) is on a very short leash when it comes to alcohol in the stadium. The league will be kicked out of New West if it happens.
Please tell your teams DO NOT bring any alcohol into the stadium.

Exactly! It should be mandatory that teams provide grass fields, and a place to drink heavily without risk of losing fields or getting arrested

It appears you have really upset the apple cart with this one. Freddy is correct. It is your responsibility to accommodate us alcoholics. I know you will provide a solution.

The parking lot is just fine, most of the cops in New West play or did play soccer, so you are most likely to know one of them, just have some doughnuts close to the cooler.

Like a zero tolerance rule on alcohol,
or does koozies and sleeves get you a pass?
Is it a parks thing? or a cop/law thing?
We had issues in surrey because residents were calling the cops, who were not fussed, and simply called the parks board who then threatened us with losing permits etc...
We then instituted the sleeves/cups/koozies rules and had a black garbage bag for empties. No harm no foul.

So let me get this straight we get caught drinking at Queens Park and Sapp will have to find a new place to play. There will be free Geegers and brew at our game against Sapp in the parking lot. Are we allowed to build a fire after the game ?

Yes, as long as the fire is not close to the Wooden Stands.
The former caretaker of Kinsmen Stadium, now at Queens Park.
I agree with HOS. The parking lot will be just fine thank you. Anything beats the shite field they used to play on....For those of you with a short memory, we have always not been permitted to drink at Burnaby Lake West turf fields. The eight rinks parking lot is also just as good. Now, you just have to fix the dim lights in the stadium....

Queens does not have hot water - the security guys are the problem - they are too young to realize that they'll get a few beers tossed their way if they ignore the alcohol - and they lock up the stadium early and patrol the parking lots so even the parking lot may be an issue. River's Reach is up the street or Royal Towers.
So WAB - I guess now Sapp owes us pints...........

We tried that once and it didn't work.
As for beers, Sapp vs PCOV is the game we call "The Beer Bowl". Loser buys the winning team pints.
