Cliff Ave 2 - Wickham 1, nice night to get out and kick the ball around; both teams seemed to be enjoying playing soccer for the most part. In the end, we missed one more chance than they did. (Cliff were lucky with a couple of hand balls, especially the one in the box behind the keeper maybe saving a goal - but a couple of point blank chances should have cancelled that one out.)
We could probably toughed it out for the tie, but with nothing on the line coach played musical chairs for the last 30 minutes - added a little excitement for everyone I think.
Those that are lucky enough to play in the afternoons, have fun this weekend - dig out the sunscreen!

With Richmond dropping points to Fiji yet again, it pretty much knocks them out of the chance for promotion pending a miracle. Should be a great finish between Lobbans and Temple. Lobban's play Sarajevo, Peg and Temple, while Temple takes on Bingers, Fiji, and Lobbans.

Actually 5-0 was pretty flattering. That was by far our worst performance of the year. I was god-awful and i was only the 4th or 5th worst on our team.
How goes the promotion thing ????

El stinko on the promotion thing.. But I ' d rather be almost promoted then playing in a relegation game.

What sunburn? the red light broke after being used twice in the opening 7 minutes.
As for the relegation game thing, it's not happened yet.
Anyway a relegation game is at least another game to play.
At least we won our cup game yesterday.
Also, if anyone finds about 4 layers of skin on the turf at Burnaby it's mine and i would like it back. My leg is raw from above shinpad to shorts. My elbow has no skin and my hip and blubber zone are both missing huge swaths. I must remember that Burnaby is not like Holly turf and is bad when dry. Stupid idiot forgot to bring pants.

I was going to wait until the end of the season, but I guess the VMSL brass has already made their decision. Congratulations to Sikh Temple for earning promotion into Premier!!!

Big game on Saturday, with Temple taking on Lobbans.
Looks like we have Newton Turf for the game, with the winner all but assured of going up.
Should be a good one, with a large crowd out to watch.

does that Morris guy still play for the Caps?
back on topic....also interesting at the bottom of the table with a tight race between polonia, loma, bingers......
i agree it's a big game but maybe not the ultimate decider. temple still plays fiji who beat them in the first game of the year and lobbans still play Peg who also beat them earlier.....

Between Benchboss, Freestyler, Myself, and Hardballz, we have had half our indoor team post in here.
Also sounds like a typical Saturday at the Plaza.
