Worth every penny

Looks like Selanne and Kariya are getting payed what they're worth.
Both out right now.

Just have to hold my place in the standings and when they come back, see ya all later.

Pullin away

Captain Shitpicks,

I am starting to pull away from you now. I am a whopping 3 spots in front now. Just do not want to finish last.

While I am moving up I might as well stroll by Downtown too!!

Have spent two or three days with a very tenuous hold on first place. I must say the view from up here is mighty fine but I am getting a little anxious as I didn't bring my parachute. With the exception of Naslund who almost everyone picked and was a no-brainer, my policy was to stay very fcuking far away from any Canucks. Especially 'The Ventilator' Dan Cloutier in goal.

No brainer?

Naslund a no brainer?
Nothing is a no brainer with the Canucks.

Naslund is 4th in points in his round and 6 points behind the leader. :D

I was pretty sure when I checked this morning that Naslund was 1st in round 1?

Naslund is indeed in first place in his round. Yoda, it's a little early in the day to be on the peace pipe. As for being a no-brainer can you honestly tell me there is anyone else in that round that will outscore him? The only one I see that might is Kariya but he's playing on the second line on a team loaded with superstars who all want their ice-time. Maybe you're the no-brainer!?:)

Naslund a no brainer?

The only one I see that might is Kariya

This is why I took Kariya just hoping he would put it all together this year. Then the putz goes and gets hurt. I figured everyone would take Naslund so gamble on Kariya.

Looking like a bit of a mistake at this point. Ahhh but the season is young!!

Are you sure?

I think he's first of the guys that were picked by people in our pool but not overall in the group.

If you sort by points in the last 30 days it looks like this:

Tkachuk 20
Satan 18
Tanguay 18
Naslund 14

Standings

Only 6.4 points out of first without Kariya and Selanne.

Can't wait till they've healed their jerking off hands and can play again.

Simple.....

Top 10 reasons why I'm in last place......

10) I'm a miserable cnut who never smiles(at least according to Bucky)

9) I came second two years ago and I'm still resting on my laurels

8) I don't need the hassle of checking to pool every day to see how close I am to the leaders.

7) I didn't place any individual wagers with any of the players, so I lacked incentive.

6) I spent 10 minutes with my picks on the night before the deadline.

5) I gambled on Washington having a big year(bad decision-I took a fcuking German goalie)

4) I decided to go with Lindros on a bounce back year.

3) I chose 2 players who hadn't signed. Of course, I didn't know they hadn't signed in my 10 minute picking frenzy(Berard/Berezin)

2) Injuries/Injuries/Injuries - Forsberg, Kariya, Gagne, Zetterberg, Zhamnov, Lindros......Look at my games played compared to everyone else. 192 games compared to the leaders who have over 230. A lot of points can be scored in 38 games.....

1) After I won the inaugural DCS Player of the Month, nothing else really mattered, especially a Mickey Mouse hockey pool. ;)

Hopefully, this answers your concerns, KNVB. BTW, I have a 3 game FIVE STAR combo for tomorrow. Send me a PM if you're interested in finding out more.......:)
