Happy New Year to all rankings fans out there. Here is a bit of rankings trivia for you all as we end the year:

Dec 31, 2008 rankings:

1. Sapperton
2. Columbus
3. West Van
4. SFC Rangers
5. Surrey United
6. Westside
7. Richmond
8. PAU Blue
9. PCOV
10. Inter

I think Sapperton went on to win the VMSL Cup that year, and I think Columbus won the BCs...

Dec 31, 2009 rankings:

1. West Van
2. Sapperton
3. Columbus
4. Port Coquitlam Castillians
5. Delta Utd
6. PAFC
7. Richmond Utd
8. South Delta
9. Surrey Utd
10. Wickham

13. Westside

West Van went on to win the VMSL Cup, and Westside went on to win the BCs.

Dec 31, 2010 rankings:

1. Columbus
2. West Van
3. Port Coquitlam Castillians
4. Westside
5. White Rock Utd
6. Delta Utd
7. Sapperton
8. Peace Arch Dragons
9. Wickham
10. Surrey Utd

So if history is to repeat itself, Columbus should win the VMSL Cup, and league, and some other top 13 team from the rankings should take the BCs.

Thanks Sir M...i think the uniforms are pretty snazzy...straight from China so we'll see if they last more than 1 season
I think we need some love in the power rankings #1 in the league, most goals, best + / - and haven't let in a goal in something like 12 hours of soccer deserves a spot (even if #20)

Keep up the good work

I will actually be getting these rankings out in the next day or two (I hate this laptop). On another front, I caught about 15 minutes of the Norvan vs NAFC and I must say that NAFC have the sharpest Masters uniforms I have seen in a while. I also note that the NCSL teams get Rene, and we keep getting this guy...(in this clip being interviewed by JAGS a few years back)...

Cant disagree with you NAFC10. The rankings probably won't be out til next week. I think I have come down with a bit of mononucleosis.

Don't worry I figure NDUA should make the top twenty of the rankings next week I think...no need to be bitter yet.

Sir M,

From the FVSL side of things, White Rock is a formidable side. Probably the best team we have ever played. They are extremely quick and play a Brazilian type brand of football. I would suggest a move up into the top 3 of the rankings despite a loss to the Castilians.

Sapp is just starting to get players back. 22 signed but only 14 played this week. We will go high like CL behind the bush at QP after Friday night games.

At first blush, I would say it would look something like this at the top:

1: Poco
2: Columbus
3: West Van
4: Westside
5: Sapperton

Thats based on what I have seen this year, with some input from staff correspondent "The Watchman".

4)Sapperton
5)West Van
