Shaw better get off their arse and add Sportsnet ONE soon  Setanta HD would be nice as well.

It looks like Sportsnet are putting all their EPL games on the new channel...

I agree - my point about them adding fast was due to the start of the EPL coming up and that is where the Sportsnet games are to be shown (at least that's where my brief research showed them being aired)

Obviously I like to be comfortable when watching TV on the couch.

Who doesn't?

Rumour that Shaw has signed a deal with Rogers for Sportsnet One (SD & HD channels) - just in time for the the companion Canucks channel and Burrows colour commentary :)

Shaw Pricing?

My latest promo with Bell has ended and the latest offer to stay on is shite, so I'm looking at moving on. What do you Shaw guys pay/month for you programming packages. I know this is a general question so I'm referring to a package that includes HD and all sports channels excluding Setanta etc. Also, are any of you using the news HDPVR HDPVR - 1 TB or the the 500GB and expander?

Cheers.

I just got the 1 TB HDPVR from Shaw and I'm having no issues with it. I don't have Setanta, but I have every every HD Channel, and my internet and it's around $130 a month. Can't remember what the package is called, but it's 2-120 or something, and then all the HD's, sports included.

I'm +/- $120 p/mnth with Telus, and then it will jump $15 p/mnth in years 2 & 3 of my agreement.

I have all HD Channels, HBO, etc (I don't have the Superchannels or Setanta)

That's for 2 set top boxes (optik PVR Anywhere TV) High Speed Internet, and Home Phone.

I switched from Shaw to telus to avoid having to incur hardware costs. telus' are free on contract or a small rental fee...

currently they're giving away XBOX360's if you switch your TV and Net to them, and it doubles as a Set top box, mitigating the rental cost of a second stb.

the caveat is the Optik isn't available in all neighborhoods.

Thanks for the info lads. I've had a hard look at Telus, but they have yet to carry RAI, which I can't do without. I've spoken to a rep but there is no set date for them to start carrying the channel. That only leaves me Shaw as an option at the moment. The dual tuner looks like a good option although I hate the idea of buying equipment and being tied to any provider. :(
