I was thinking the same thing yesterday! They had 1 other field that wasn't being used just behind the turf field. Why didn't they have that field playable and warm up on the turf?

Another thing that bothered me is that why are we playing all these games mid week during the day? Don't people work? Could they not have scheduled these games to run from 4:00 PM until the evening? They could have still gotten all games in. It's a shame that many kids make it to the Provincial Cup and their parents and other family can't come watch as they have to work.

It doesn't make sense to me.

The reason the U14's were on the turf is that the Nationals are going to be played on turf. They wanted to give them as much exposure to it as possible (rightly or wrongly).

Thanks, Bloodthirsty. However, there are many types of turf, so it might not be that big of a deal especially when the Nationals are in fcuking October. Sorry, it still makes no sense to me.
