Then why wouldn't the Oilers give him the $200,000 more he wanted to begin with. They traded him because the negotiations came to a stalemate shall I say again for $200,000.

If the Isles are smart they will offer him the difference.

Not a chance. He has been rented for the playoffs and will sign with Edmonton for a huge deal in July.

A great move by cOilers management... just watch.

I don't think he's deserving of a huge deal. Don't get me wrong, would love to have him on my team, but turning down 5.4 a season? For a guy whose career high is 70 points, I don't think so. As hard as it is for Oiler's fans to see him go, he's really not worth that kind of money.
