Sorry KNVB, In those days, images were chisled into stone. Those babies are tough to scan.

Dark Horse
Alright, moving on to the "Dark horse" entry in the 1987 provincials that year. The QE Royals......perhaps the most talented team that year, who wasted away any chance of winning by drinking themselves silly with the coach.
This lanky defender seen on the left in this pic currently plays for Surrey United VMSL. Fastest "pack'a'day" smoker in the league.....hands down.

The guy on the far right of that QE trio is my cousin Paul Agelidis who on a good day could strike fear in any defender........on a good day. Very tough to knock off a ball and quite unorthodox, but talented.
By the way both he and Peter are much hairier than me, and that's uncombined.

Wow! That picture's got to be worth money now. The legendary Surrey United Celtics. You boys won a few provincial championships together hey? I played on the rep team a year younger, and I can recall a few exhibition matches against that team.
Steve Morrison, Rob Reed, John Thernes, Johan Wilson, "The Godfather" .........Jason Bell, Gordie Tiffenbach, Shane Ross.
ahhh the good old days. A few of those guys were at Sapperton Park not too long ago for Old Donny Smith's bench ceremony. Good fellas. Thanks Regs.
