Sandman,

Agreed, brutal kit. Unfortunately, it is not for the keepers. It is the away kit for the Champions League. Thank god it won't be worn in the Premiership.

Dap,

How 'bout Dirk's introduction? Only saw the Sky Sports' clips but he looked to be all over the map from the get-go. Questionable offside on his ball to Bellamy (cnut). Unlucky. Bellamy, Crouch, Fowler, Dirk. Nice options. Could be the best bit of business Rafa's done to date. Well, second to keeping Gerrard.

Good luck in the CL. Keep me updated, as I'll be busy with UEFA results and Tennants Cup.

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fqF2mN5B-90]Video 22[/ame] - By request, a short compilation of Dirk Kuyt's Liverpool debut.

Just for you Bucky. The video shows some of his talent but is too short to show some of his other attributes, such as his unbelievable workrate. The guy was absolutely adored at Feyenoord (sorry 'bout the rhyme) and I think he'll turn out to be a great buy. On a serious note, his Dad is seriously ill and it was his father's dream to see him play for the Reds. Can't imagine he'll need much more motivation than that to really have a go for Liverpool. Good luck in the UEFA Cup, Buck. Hopefully you'll be seeing United there once the CL group stages are done. Although more likely Celtic, I suppose.:)

Cheers, Dap.

Curious. Would Septic get a UEFA spot coming last in their group? Usually BNJ does my googling for me. He's busy peddling lawn mowers. The young suburban kids will buy anything these days. Hoping you can help?

I heard BNJ's sales district is the West End so money may be a little tight for the fella these days.

Anyhoo, you must know I am much too busy flossing my teeth and surfing the internet here at work to do research for you. But just to get you off my back I will answer your question. The answer is not a fcuking chance. They would be eliminated from European competition. Only the third place teams get those silly little parachutes that land them in the UEFA Cup.

That will be 500, 000 Turkish Lira, please. Or 50 cents, your choice.

[ame=http://video.google.co.uk/videoplay?docid=7032316303141404085]Video 23[/ame] - Xabi Alonso dribbles the ref, then let's fly from sixty-five yards against Newcastle! Fcuking get in there, Xabi!

Interestingly, that was Xabi's first goal for Liverpool since he scored from his own half against Luton last season.

Georgie Peorgie, it's a well known fact that all Manc supporters secretly yearn to be Reds. You are obviously no exception. So just for you I will post a clip of Peter's goal that you admire so much. Enjoy.

Un-fcuking-believable strike is right.
Amazing for the beanpole to pull that off.

I love the way Kuyt flicks it back into the goal after. :D

It's been awhile since I added to this thread. Just been waiting for someone to compile all of Liverpool's goals from last season. Here they are...

Holding midfielders win the big games though, not poncy forwards. Gatusso, Makelele, Keane, Frings, Hargreaves, they get the job done when the games mean something.

Ok, I'll admit maybe I have a certain bias... for poncy forwards, I guess Henry is one of the rare ones that can break a game open.

I can't believe Man U isn't able to land Torres, they have been talking about him for two years and he would fit in there perfectly with those other young guys.

There is going to be some great soccer on tap this fall at Anfield, Old Tratford, Stanford Bridge, Emirates and Ambleside. Can't wait to see all the new signings in action... let me take that back, really enjoying the start of summer now -- the new season can wait for a bit.

Here are the first few pics of Liverpool's new stadium.

The Kop will seat 18,000 in a steep, single-tier stand (fcuk yeah!) The stadium itself is assymetricaly shaped to pay homage to traditional British football stadiums (as opposed to the modern bowl-shaped stadiums most clubs are building now).

Planning has been approved for 60,000 seats but another application has been submitted and by the time approval has been received and the stadium completed it is expected to hold around 78,000 and be the largest in Great Britain. The gaps in the corners will be filled in with the additional 18,000 seats.

It is also expected that with such a massive amount of glass incorportated into the plans that thousand of window-cleaning jobs will be created for the local populace. It is also reported that Everton fans have already started collecting rocks suitable for lobbing through the windows and that birds from all over are planning bombing missions galore upon the opening of the stadium. With this in mind a huge fcuk-off official LFC eagle like the kind in Lord of the Rings has been recruited to keep the area clear of any would be vandal birds and to rip the innards out of any bluenose do-badders.

P.s. If you need a point of reference to understand the size of the Kop, compare the goalposts in front to it.
