Just heard that Poco is running with a team that has an average age of 35.7, how can this be fair in over 35's soccer, most teams are averaging over 40.

I don't think it is a problem, the young guys will dominate at the start, but wait till it starts getting ugly out there, cold and wet, the old guys will take a few extra viagra, and those young poco guys won't want to get into a tackle.

Our average age is actually 37. We have a four or five geezers over 40 just like everybody else.

I don't think we'll have a problem with cold weather, although come to think of it Yoda did put a request into management for team mittens. I told him to call Ghouse to see if they had any extras.

Gloves, i said, GLOVES!!!

Those were beer drinking "gloves" and yes he does have an extra spot on the team...........transfer papers are being filled out as i speak. Unless a formal apology is received. Or just buy me a beer.

If the beer guy is doing his job and the beer is cold, "gloves" are great for keeping the hands warm when your holding beer way out in Ladner late at night.

If we do get them though, can i get mine in extra small size, to match my team shorts?

I can admit when I am wrong - clearly not the match of the week, what a pounding.

Diabolical reffing, both ways. Comical at points. Wost for the Ballsacks.

Anyhow, although I felt our goal was the result of said reffing, we were ALL OVER them w/ great chances, and Two Left Feet was their best player. We got ourselves a red at about 80, and for the final 10 squandered several golder opportunities. There was an age / fitness difference in our favor, and I think it showed. Ballsacks lived up to their rep as battlers, though, and played hard every minute. Roxy up front seemed frustrated and all alone...probably because in his heart he knows he's wearing the wrong color. He looked better and fitter last night than when he was lighting up Premier for us years back.

Nice job Ballsacks! It's a blast being a new member of the FVSL old folks home...loving it!

Fcuk...we need to get some wins going.

Looks like for me to ever get that feeling over here in GEU land I will have to switch teams. Half the guys on our team now are like 18 years old! Fcuk if I wait for that I'll be 55years old still dreaming of playing over 35's.

You don't want to switch teams, GEU got pumped by PAU FC 3-1 this morning, could have been more, but the keeper was solid for Moneyman United (where is he?). Crow with 2 great goals, one a chip from 25, onto Newton next week, then first place on the line vs. S. Delta in two weeks.
Looking forward to he North Delta game as well.

Some nice looking games this weekend, 6 of the top (9) teams playing against each other. NDU looks like they are 9th only because they have only played 3 games.

Deta United Mission FC Holly TURF Fri 9pm

Mission will be very happy to make the drive friday night for this game but it is a big one for both teams. Will Millsy be a giving as he has been? Big for both teams if they want to keep close to the leaders, a tie will be tough to take for both.

North Delta Utd Alumni Poco Castilians FC Delsom TURF Fri 9pm

NDU has only played (3) games, knock off Poco and they are one of the top teams. Poco, after a weekend of rest will be ready for another big game - will need to keep pace with league leaders South Delta.

South Delta is NOT a league leader - they are shite - the only reason they are at the top is because they haven't played one team that will finish in the top 5 or 6.

With Poco's win over Delta last week - Poco won the league - it's now a battle for 2nd. Wouldn't be surprised to see Poco run the table.

I wouldn't go that far, but will say SD is an unknown quality at this point. Which PAU did they beat, the good one or not so good one? Who knows.

I don't recognize many names, but that isn't saying much. Is Andre the same Andre that was involved w/ the Poco Raiders for many seasons?

The Poco / NDUA match is easily MOTW. This has 2-2 tie written all over it, would be a great match to watch. I think, if any, edge to NDUA IF they keep their starters on for the bulk of 90. If they start w/ the equal time BS, Poco will eat up their subs.
