Storm 8 - Sporting 1

As already written Storm posted a big 8 - 1 victory on the weekend, as for Motorhome I'll give him 3 but 1 was defo an OG. He also should have squared the ball across to me on his first goal.

Glad for the winter break but it would have been nice to keep this hot streak going, were really playing well right now. It seems as thought the top 4 teams are really pulling away.

As for you Striker 12, I was just keeping your place warm and doing what I can for the team. Hopefully the Storm can get it together and organize a Christmas party sometime soon. Maybe Kelly O'Brien's is free, eh RF????

My God, there goes my goal difference arguement.

Suffice to say that much can still happen here but yes, it looks like the top 4 are in a battle at the moment.
I'd be surprised if the Storm don't win it now with the games they've got in and the ones remaining.
2nd, 3rd, 4th,...5th?
Who knows.

We've definitely got a lot of games to go against obviously tough competition.

I do think the break will do us a good turn but I'm fearful of the demands that will come later trying to get all these games in.

Anyone out there know the relegation rule, ie: how many teams will be sent down?

My understanding is the last place team drops and the 9th place team plays a 2 game playoff with the 2nd place team from the lower div.

Dude, you should know better than to ask a question about relegation and promotion in the Fraser Valley. Look at past history, teams don't have to go up if they don't want, which messes up the relegation/promotion idea.We will probably still be asking what teams will be in what divisions next year the week before the season starts.

I think as far as domotion goes, though, it is pretty much set in stone. Little shocked to see two Poco temas down there. You sort of had to expect the Hotspur, but United?

Promotion/Demotion

An email from the League that I received stated bottom 2 in Div 1 drop and top 2 in Div 2 go up. The 3rd place team in Div 2 has the option of playing off against the 8th place team in Div 1.

Not that this will happen. I have heard PoCo U have already spoken to the League about retaining their spot no matter where they finish.

I'm not sure who goes up and down, but Cainy told me that you will no longer have a choice in the matter apparently.
No room for respectfully declining.

If you're Top 2 or whatever you have to go up.
Same as going down I guess.
