Standings after approximately half season look awfully similar to the last year's standings:
Colorado and Nashville switched places and that is pretty much the only difference.
It is interesting that Canucks had last year 52 points after 41 games (this season 49) - I heard this info yesterday on Team 1040.
If Tortorella could not move (and inspire) Canucks' veterans last year I am quite sure that Desjardins will not be able to do that either this year. Simply, Canucks are too old and it seems inevitable that Linden and Benning will have to make a complete overhaul this summer. It probably should have been done already last summer but it looks to me that the easiest way was to blame Tortorella.
This veteran group reached their maximum in 2011. That was three years ago, impossible to repeat the same run with the aging group.
