Bradner Cup Bradner Cup 12/13

My first year in FVSL (unfortunately I ain't 19 years old!).

How does cup-tying work in Bradner Cup? If registered on a Bradner Cup roster does that impact Pakenham Cup roster eligibility?

FVSL site says 33 teams registered, capping at 64. First game in a few weeks.

I believe it's like any other cup, once you play, you're tied to that team. No jumping between teams.

I think it's pretty common knowledge that you do that for league play, and league play only. Unless you fancy yourself a cheater then go ahead. Wouldn't be the first I imagine.

Who are the defending champs anyways?

No I meant, since Bradner and Pak are two different competitions entirely, does playing in one team in one comp cup-tie you for another comp? ie, play on "B" team in Bradner Cup but "A" in Pak?

I hear what you are saying - just want to make sure the "A" team has the best players available for it's Pak Cup run. Bradner Cup is an afterthought for us compared to helping the "A" team with Pak.

Check your email, a notice went out that teams had to 5:00pm tonight to confirm. The draw will follow shortly after.

Not many teams can underachieve and still get more money and greener pastures. Takes a certain kinda group to do that.

@reds - we all train together twice a week - d1 and d4. lots of guys have moved up to help out.

have they announced how many teams have entered? and have done the draws yet?

I didn't realize D1 teams were eligible for Bradner Cup - I thought it was just D2 and down. Anyway, our D1 team is entered in the cup so that answers that re: cup-tying. Obviously we can only play on one of our teams in the competition.

The draw is done. I don't know the whole draw, just who our Chwk D1 and D4 teams are playing.

Also bottom prem teams not involved in the pacific cup, all masters premier and other master divisions.

I didn't look closely but I didn't see any Prem teams registered in the cup....not at a glance anyway. Surprised they don't have just a lower-league only cup. Fun competition though it appears.

FYI - It was changed. No more Premier teams in the Bradner.
