This just in:

An astounding 12.3 million viewers - or more than one in three Canadians - tuned in to some of or the entire broadcast.

It was a great game. I knew they would tie it up, only because they've done it so many times before. It sure sucked when the US scored though. It hurt like hell.

Then turning the channel to watch boring NHL (Canucks/BL's) hurt even more.

Jordan Shrader is going to be a VERY good Canuck one day.

Agreed, Schreoder will be a good play, and if Hodgson pays off, we could be looking at a similar situation as Chicago with some highly skilled young players.

Would be nice for a change.

I heard over 5 million watched the final... Hopefully the other countries watched too and more people get into hockey and the sport grows to where all 10 teams will be able to compete for the cup...And we still win.

Having said all of this, Canada did win a game 16-0 and had some wins by touchdown like margins.

Sir M, with all due respect my 1998 Midget AAA team from Surrey Minor Hockey would have beat that Latvian team... The terrible Junior B team I played on a year later (Worst points total ever for the PIJHL if memory serves) would have hammered them by double digits.
