Looks like the Div 2 Cup curse of Temple losing the first game has been lifted. I guess third times the charm.

9 players to start, 10 for the whole game, the referee factors in on the first two goals(free kick from the 6 and a peno). The curse was kicked out tha' door...

Temple played a solid game and though the result was not in jeopardy the scoreline could have been a bit more forgiving had the aforementioned curse not been planted firmly on Norvan's shoulders.

Go Temple!...uhh wait a minute...they play Norvan again in Round 2! Sorry Gurps....Go Norvan!

How does your CAT team fare in comparison to you guys? I saw that they are on top of their side in the CAT. Not sure how the quality of Div 2 CAT is these days.

Kudos to you guys for working hard the whole game and playing till the final whistle. Hopefully you guys stay up. With a full roster every game I don't think you guys would be anywhere near relegation.

We are actually trying to get the game moved to turf on Sunday night due to the rain. As long as Norvan B agrees, it will be a go, as we have the field booked.

If not, it will be played at Kensington.

Lomas 2 - 4 UBC (OT)

We came in to this game with a depleted roster missing 4 starters and with only 11 players. One of our strikers gets injured about 15 minutes in and is unable to continue - we are down to 10. UBC goes up one zip and we tie it before the end of the first. Second half, 80th minute, they push hard and go up 2-1 off a great strike. With time running down we equalize off a beauty of a volley. Whistle blows - OT.

The ref, who we thought was favouring UBC, sends off one of our players for a second yellow (very questionable call) - we are down to 9. He then proceeds to call a peno on a tackle where our defender got the ball and some leg - another questionalbe call. They score 3-2. Another one of our players gets a second yellow (warranted) and we are down to 8. They pot one more and thats how it ended. UBC is a good young team, but with 11 players and our full squad I'm confident we would have won.

After the game the ref jumps in a car with one of their players and leaves. Pretty much validates our theory that he was favouring UBC. Complete garbage.
