Caught about 25 minutes of the first half of the Surrey game. A new look United with the return of Deacon, Millar, Stewart, and Ganief. It was nil - nil at half. Surrey with the more dangerous chances, however, the forwards were unable to finish the 40 yards bombs that Millar was distributing out of the back. See how it finishes...........

3 - 1 Cowichan. Good hard battle for 90 minutes. Sooke scored 10 minutes in. 1 - 0 at half. 2 quick back to back goals by Cowichan then 1 late when Sooke was pushing. All in all a good battle from both teams.

Yes...no more log. Would have been a great photo of the Vancouver team getting off the bus at THE LOG and looking around at all the chainsaws... oh well. Sooke battled well, unlucky to have a goal called back when the ref was "clueless" on a freekick. Congrats to Cowichan. Any other results!?!?

Surrey 4-2 over Gordon Head in OT.

Should have been over in regulation as Surrey had a boatful of chances. SU scored first early in the second half, GH tied it up about 15 minutes later and then took the lead with just over ten remaining. Surrey tied it up with less than 5 to go and then took over in OT scoring in the first 30 seconds and then finishing another in the second OT.

Not the best first 90 minutes for SU but they pulled it out in the end.

Regarding the Sooke Cowichan game, the goal that was apparently called back, was a mockery. The ref called our player over to talk to him, you guys kicked it off and went and put it in the net while the ref was talking....Did it look terrible on the ref, yes, but was our goalie in a conversation with the ref...yes.

Vancouver you owe Cowichan one for not making you play on the cow pasture...or I mean the log.

Sooke you played great, but seemed to have run out of gas, and then took a very undisciplined stupid card...good season better luck next year.

AFC Leopards 0 Gorge 2

Gorge was all over today, good team, they could score a few more but AFC's goalie saved a bigger embarresment. The second goal was a beauty. Surrey United will need luck on the Island next week. Congrats Gorge...

...10 minutes into the second half (when I left) Sporting was up 1-0 over Westside.

The game is just about to end and Croatia is up 3-0 vs. langley. That's all I know.

I think it ended up 4- 1. Snoozer of a game.

Croatia beat Langley 3 or 4 - 1. It was 1-0 early then Langley pushed and Croatia scored a few, honestly, weak efforts to put it away. LFC banged one in late but it was, errrr.... too late.

Firemen beat Inter 2-1
Sporting beat Westside 2-0
Clan-Bus beat Aldergrove 1-0 (I think)

Road trip I guess for us next week...

Gorge AFC game was a great game. AFC was a very talented team. First 10 minutes they were all over us pinging the ball around. Very pretty. We scored in the 30th minute and then in the second half. Hats off to AFC, a classy bunch of guys and a great battle.

As for the Cowboy from Cowichan, I was at the game. The ref was speaking to the goalie but never blew the whitsle dead. Never called the goalie out to speak to him. Sooke put the ball down and played/socred and then the ref called it back. All in all a good win by Cowichan coming from behind. Well done on a great game and good luck the rest of the way.

Surrey over on the Island next weekend will be another good match. Not too sure what the schedule is. Apparently it will be worked around the PCSL game that is going on at Hampton. When we know we will post it on here.
