I don't really have the time, I've turned into a 'housewife'. UP! I'm doing all the cookin', cleanin', bill payin' and all that shite. Why go out for lunch when I have the greatness of experimenting at home  No one's around, and I can burn stuff if I really want  .

I give, what do you recommend in Richmond? :D

See the problem w/ my addiction is that when I'm in Richmond, I now drive over one of the bridges, head up Oak, and hit up Kaplan's. Yes, it is worth it.

Lot's o' great pub grub in Richmond, though.

The benefit of being an at home mom  is that I can head to the pub anytime I want. 'Stumble home' is my motto :wa:

One of today's lunch highlights was walking through a group of my students on my way out of the liquor store. Oh well. Good Italian sandwich from the nearby grocery store, though

had about 100 grams of protien. Went to Samba Brazilian Steak House on Alberni. It's an all the meat you can eat buffet, they have various meats on large skewers which are brought around to each table and they slice the meat off. I know that sounds kind of gross but it was quite good, service was excellent and the price was fairly decent for downtown.

If you happen to feel like a road trip.....

The Shady Tree in Squamish is well worth the drive.....great food, great service and reasonably priced. Mrs Lupoman and I drove up on a miserable Friday night back in December, dinner and a few drinks, ( watch out for the road blocks on 99 ) and we got out of there for under $60 with the tip. Rated as Lupoman's top "local" pub!

Vegemite Ahhh, the benefit of working with an Aussie and a Brit...Where the hell was the vitamin B yeast when I needed to cure the hangover?

Lunch today:
Stone Wheat thins with vegemite smurred over them, pesto wraps filled with cheese, on the side: a mixed baggie of salt and viniger chips/tostitos mini chips, and tap water to wash it all down...

Day two, a complete shamble

Ate at Sharkey's in Ladner yesterday for Mother's Day. Awesome Fish and Chips. Great panko batter and the chips are good too.
They also had martini specials.:wa:

Lunch today. Salad using leftovers from BBQ last night. Really good. Much better than the Subway i usually eat.

Lunch today will be Subway.

More importantly, however, was coffee this morning from Lisa's...

I have been holding back on the Lisa postings- posting about my daily trips to her coffee shop would be akin to calling KNVB a Cnut 483 times in a year- but today is worth telling about.

Not only did she look tre-men-dous in her little summer dress (she always looks tre-men-dous), but she spilled coffee all over the counter. What's the big deal, you ask? Well, you see, lovely Lisa's immediate reaction was to panic and jump out of the way, which caused her to jiggle in ways that made me tingle in the nether region.

:)

See HOS...these are the types of simple pleasures you can look forward to, having now brought an offspring into the world.)

Had the new spicy, crunchy chicken sandwich from Wendy's today. I thought the Big Crunch from KFC was the top chicken, but this ranks slightly ahead in my book. Their Fries still suck though.

It's actually the Big Crunch. Named after the painful session spent in the lavatory afterwards. Ah, toilet humour.

Lunch today was one Seven Layer Dip Bean Burrito, and one Beef Burrito Supreme each, from Taco Bell.

The real story, however, was my morning coffee. Not spent at Lisa's, but rather, at Mini Dude's Kindergarten Orientation. Got to meet all the other kids and their moms, and let me tell you...there are some cracking MILFS in my kids' kindergarten class. I was one of about 4 dads out of 20 moms who wasn't paying any mind to the 70 year old teacher, Mrs. Whatshergunt. Jesus...I'm still in awe. I'm absolutely shocked that there were that many crackers living in my neighborhood. All the milfs were dressed to kill, too. Low cut, tight summer blouses, some had on respectable, but shortish, summer shorts. Others with summer dresses. The one with the new baby had an in-cre-di-ble rack.

I gotta get laid...

If I said to you, "I have a great idea for a business. I'll open a whole
new type of coffee shop. Instead of charging 60 cents for coffee, I'll
charge $2.50, $350, $4..50, and $5..50. Not only that, I'll have no tables,
no chairs, no water, no free refills, no waiters, no busboys, serve it in
cardboard cups, and have the customer clean it up for
20 minutes after they're finished."

Would you say to me, "That's the greatest idea for a business I ever heard!
We can open a chain of these all over the world!" No, you would put me right
into a sanitarium.

And it's burnt coffee! It's burnt coffee at Starbuck's, be honest about it.
If you get burnt coffee in a coffee shop, you call a cop. You say, "It's
the bottom of the pot. I don't drink from the bottom of the pot. But when
it's burnt at Starbuck's, they say, "Oh, it's a special roast. It's a
special bean from Argentina....."

The bean is in your head!!! I know burnt!!! You want coffee in a coffee
shop, that's 60 cents. But at Starbuck's, if it's Cafe Latte $3.50.

Cafe Creamier: $4.50. Caffe Suisse: $9.50. For each French word, another
four dollars. Why does a little cream in coffee make it worth $3.50? Go
into any coffee shop; they'll give you all the cream you want until you're
blue in the face. 40 million people are walking around in coffee shops with
pitchers of cream: "Here's all the cream you want!" And it's still 60 cents.

You know why? Because it's called "coffee." You want cinnamon in your
coffee? Ask for cinnamon in a coffee shop; they'll give you all the
cinnamon you want.

Do they ask you for more money because it's cinnamon?
It's the same price for cinnamon in your coffee as for coffee without
cinnamon - 60 cents, that's it. But not in Starbucks. Over there, it's
Cinnamonnier - $9.50. You want a refill in a regular coffee shop, they'll
give you all the refills you want until you drop dead. You can come in when
you're 27 and keep drinking coffee until you're 98. And they'll start
begging you: "Here, You want more coffee?" Do you know that you can't get a
refill at Starbucks? A refill is a dollar fifty, two refills, $4.50. Three
refills, $19.50. So, for four cups of coffee - $35.00.

And they're no chairs in those Starbucks... Instead, they have these high
stools. You ever see these stools? You haven't been on a chair that high
since you were two. Seventy- three year old men are climbing and climbing
to get to the top of the chair. And when they get to the top, they can't
even drink the coffee because there's 12 people around one little table, and
everybody's saying, "Excuse me, excuse me, excuse me....." Then they can't
get off the chair.. Old men are begging younger men , "Mister, could you get me
off this?"

Do you remember what a cafeteria was? In poor neighborhoods all over this
country, they went to a cafeteria because there were no waiters and no
service. And so poor people could save money on a tip. Cafeterias didn't
have regular tables or chairs either. They gave coffee to you in a
cardboard cup. So because of that you paid less for the coffee You got
less, so you paid less. It's all the same at Starbucks - no chairs, no
service, a cardboard cup for your coffee - except in Starbucks, the less you
get, the more it costs. By the time they give you nothing, it's worth four
times as much!

Am I exaggerating? Did you ever try to buy a cookie in Starbuck's?
Buy a cookie in a regular coffee shop. You can tear down a building with
that cookie. And the whole cookie is 60 cents. At Starbuck's, you're going
to have to hire a detective to find that cookie, and it's $9.50.

And you can't put butter on it because they want extra. Do you know that if
you buy a bagel, you pay extra for cream cheese in Starbuck's? Cream
cheese, another 60 Cents. A knife to put it on, 32 cents. If it reaches
the bagel, 48 cents. That bagel costs you $3.12. And they don't give you
the butter or the cream cheese. They don't give it to you. They tell you
where it is.
"Oh, you want butter? It's over there. Cream cheese? Over here.
Sugar?
Sugar is here."

Now you become your own waiter. You walk around with a tray. "I'll take
the cookie. Where's the butter? The butter's here. Where's the cream
cheese? The cream cheese is there." You walked around for an hour and a
half selecting items, and then the guy at the cash register has a glass in
front of him that says "Tips." You're waiting on tables for an hour, and you
owe him money?

Then there's a sign that says please clean it up when you're finished.
They don't give you a waiter or a busboy. Now you've become the janitor.
Now you have to start cleaning up the place. Old people are walking around
Cleaning up Starbuck's. "Oh, he's got dirt too? Wait, I'll clean this up."
They clean up the place for an hour and a half. Starbuck's can only get
away with it because they have French titles for everything, %$#%^&*.

I just go to Timmy Ho's and get the cheap coffee they have, but the long line-ups in the morning are starting to drive me crazy, funny little article, if you are a coffee drinker.

Clogging the arteries. Is that good??

I for one am in training. A green salad for lunch today. With Chicken on it. oh yeah and bread either side. Actually it was more like a grilled chicken sandwich leftover from dinner last night. :D

Seriously though. Money sandwich. the banana peppers on top are a great idea.Stomach a little rough at the moment but i'm blaming that on the draft beer last night. OR the dodgy nacho's. Or the very very warm Stella i drank in the goal while playing last night.
