Dezza NK vs Saudi was hell of a game to watch. Saudi played very skillfull game, good soccer. NK due to hard work of all the guys came out with a 4 to 2 win. It looks like last kick in the last game for all the teams from midle down count. No easy game for any team.

Good win by Lions last night. Scored two very early and held on well. Goalie made some great saves. Romania had a guy sent off with around an hour in and were unlucky not score a couple more than they did. Lions to stay up and deservedly so. So all Rino has to do is win their walk in the park today and they should get promoted. No pressure.

It's hard to chop the guys who fought for promotion.
I herd from youg B keeper that B United and Caspian played a tie game. 2 A is getting harder and harder. Lions won NK won. Saudi lost, not sure how North Van did in their game.

Pressure? What pressure? It was a walk in a foggy park that ended 3-0 for Rino's. Hard fought battle in the first half, but our centre mid blasted one in off the far post with about 5 mins left. In the 2nd half things opened up, and we scored 2 with our guys finding themselves 1-on-1 with the keeper leaving him little chance. Big game on Wednesday night between Romania and "B" United.

GFC went from being destined for relegation to winning 5 straight, including a win against the #1 team who had everything to lose.

How many ringers did you guys get?

Yeah, in our first 8 games we got 1 point (0-1-0) with 4 GF and 26 GA. In our last 8 games we've got 19 points (6-1-1) with 17 GF and 5 GA, winning our last 5 straight. Crazy season.

We made 3 signings around week 12 after our season had already started turning around, and only one of the three started for the first couple weeks. They're super solid players though, with all 3 having worked their way into our starting XI for the first time against Romania. Really though, it came down to everyone realizing we were going to get relegated if we didn't turn it around fast, and we started having more than 11 guys show up to games. A couple good bounces and some belief that we could actually put the ball in the net and get a result helped as well.

Still need one more win to secure safety though.

whoever goes up will most likely come straight back down . No team in our division is good enough for division 1. if you want to compete in division 1 you need to rock the teams in division 2 with similar scores as shaheen did when they went up: 7-1, 5-0, 6-0, etc..etc..

of the three teams that go up this year, at least ONE of them will get to stay up, UBC most likely being the strongest of the teams.

Its best for whoever wins our group to stay in division 2 or they will end up losing most of their games and fighting every week for points to try to survive.

with NORVAN losing their final game, they will have to sit and most likely watch as they drop to relegation and join GREEN DEVILS

B-United are short on players and having just played on sunday with only 10 men will have to face a ROMANIA team ready to win the division and win the marathon, regardless if they choose to go up and lose almost every game next year.

that makes the biggest game of the year to HRKVAT vs B UNITED - with the loser ending up in division 3. (unless saudia arabia lose their last game - and take the relegation spot)


if Romania end up winning their game on wednesday, then MARALOMA & CASPIAN will be safe.

You are delusional if you think Romania doesn't know they will have to recruit 5-6 key players if they get promoted. The leaders of the team were on this when the season started.

The team did well this year considering we lost a starter due to a acl injury, another to surgery and a third never played all season with a knee sprain

I think the key is to realize just how much of a step up each division is. If you don't have the guys and the commitment you are going to be in tough.

Just look at the teams recently promoted from Div 2: Gastown looks like 1 and done, Campo (former Prov B Champs) and GN 2 and done most likely. Shaheen challenged for promotion in their first season but now they are lower mid-table. Obviously we all know about Ayjal and their recruitment tactics but even that is no guarantee, they are in tough for promotion. At the top its the same, premier is a different class- Westside and Inter right back up last year, Richmond and Olympics with every chance to do the same this season.

The reality is you need guys who want to stay together for more than a year or two and who are (believe it or not Base) willing to lose some games while they try and attract new players. Sometimes its a long haul (god knows Rinos and Bingers have been in Div 1 since what seems like the dawn of time...) but that's what it takes.

So if Romania get flattened in Div 1 next season they will have to try and learn from it, get promoted again and try and change things. But best of luck to them. Decline promotion???? WTF??? That's like your suggestion about mixing up the teams, for fcuk sakes it's a competitive league! The entire premise is to be the BEST TEAM in your league so as to earn promotion to a BETTER LEAGUE. That's what makes it FUN.

Are you honestly telling me that if your HK boys go down this year and finish top of Div 3 next season that you will decline the promotion...come on man...

Of course Romania or Rinos should take the promotion if they get it. They both have twice as many points as #3 in their division, so when speaking of "rocking div 2" they are doing just that.

And yes, the jump from div 2 to div 1 is a big one. But that doesn't mean it's a bad thing.

By the way, is the cup draw completely random? In the preliminary round you have div 2 vs div 2 matchups as well as div 3 vs div 3 matchups.
