The words "Stanley Cup" do not appear anywhere on the Holy Grail of the the hockey world, so with that tidbit of information what is the official name engraved on Lord Stanley's chalice.

I remember reading what it said and going WTF! I thought it is called the Stanley Cup.
It is called the Stanley Cup because some guy in England made it. His name was Stanley. On the cup itself it says from Stanley of ....... I can't remeber the actual city but I know it is in England. On the front of the Cup it says " Dominion Hockey Challenge Cup"
Why I have no idea!
BTW just to clarify I have never actually won the cup myself. I did have my picture taken with it, which as you know is pretty much the same thing.
