Scott Audio? What nationality is that, then? Sounds like a Celtic supporter to me. Now you're rubbing elbows with Dogans, eh? Christ you've changed. You're a fcuking fraud, sunshine, all that patter on the Scottish League thread and now you're pissing about with people named that? At least be true to yourself, Buckfast for the love of everything I thought you believed in.
Shaken, Fastshow.
P.S. Did you get my e-mail? Eh?
I still like that gay farmer crack, that's a good 'un.
Went to the Notting Hill Arts Club Sunday night for Ben Watt's sweatbox. Still feeling it. Sweaty.
For a slice of velvetty over-processed cheese have a listen to 'On the Run' by Tilmann Uhrmacher (Original Radio Edit). Cheese at it's finest but what makes the song is the superb bit of simple synth work during the 'chorus' which is more than remiscent of the genius that was Talk Talk. Also listen out for the fantastically naff 1980's police drama guitar. Miami Vice.
I can't get over 'Poor Leno' by Royksopp despite it's age and the fact I've worn out the fcuking cd. Try the Sander Kleinenberg mix. At 10m19s it's three times the length of the original. Sander Kleinenberg also happens to be the only useful German. Ever.
'Silent Sigh' Badly drawn Boy. Badly Drawn Boy has done the entire soundtrack to the new Nick Hornby film 'About a Boy'. Hugh Grant.
'Mindcircus' Way out West. Another ageing gem given fresh life through some new mixes. Try the Phunk Investigation mix or the Fred Numf vs Etienne Overdijk remix. Pumping.
Fastshow,
Thanks for the picks. You actually bought a CD?
Well, you seem to be warming up to zee Germans, do I hear a dark Wagneresque like infactuation in all things German? Will zis be true as of May 31st?
You von't get avay wiv zis. We ave eyes an ears in places you von't believe.
Put this in your B&W.
"Autobahn" - Kraftwerk
Hed,
Nein. I thought I'd merely post a bit of eine kleine nacht muzik for your enjoyingment.
Buck, Brixton Academy, July 2002; PSB in concert. Good a time as any to wander down with big gay frothy drinks from Starbuck's (the variety so adored by Sensei Hanson). Fancy it? What about the.... oh nevermind. Get 'Sexy Northerner' by PSB. Ironic.
This Friday night we've got Royksopp, Telepopmusik and Jon Carter in Hackney for the MTV Europe bash. Well wicked.
'Crybaby' Spiller
'Angry Skies' Tilt
'You and Me and The Music' Milk & Honey
'Departure Lounge' Deep Dish
'Thrill Me' Junior Jack
'End of Time' DJ Energy
'The Greatest Hit' Annie (English sung phonetically by a deaf Frenchwoman. Maybe.)
'Mother' M Factor
'Breath and Don't Stop' Q~tip
None of these are half as good as 'Reap the Wild Wind' by Ultravox but they're good nevertheless. Nothing is good as 'Reap the Wild Wind'. Nothing.
The Streets ‘Let’s Push Things Forward’ *********** This song has been around for a while now and is fcuking 'dope'. Even that phillistine Sensei will like this one.
X-Press 2 Feat. David Byrne
Elvis Costello ‘Tear Off Your Own Head’ (It’s A Doll Revolution’
I don't venture in here too often but I heard Golden Boy by Natalie Merchant the other day on the radio and ended up grabbing the whole Motherland CD. Great stuff, particularly The Worst Thing and the title track: Motherland. Her voice has really changed from her earlier days.
If I may re-enter the TTP ring for a minute or two, I have a few choice chunks of prose'n'beats to offer the group. I was actually quite surprised that my login name was still active. Also of concern was whether or not I would remember my password, but seeing as its my first name, and I use it look log in to a plethora of porn sites, I managed to get it on the third try. Now enough about me, lets talk about me.
Some humble suggestions, to take or leave:
Giant Leap - My Culture (feat Maxi Jazz fromn Faithless and Bob Williams)
Richard Scanty - Southern Thing (winner of this year's award for best use of a Hall'and'Oates song)
Lighthouse Family and Brother Brown - Free One
Cosmos - Take me With You
A certain Ratio - Won't Stop Loving You (Bernard Sumner Mix) (Thanks FastCum for the reminder, classic early 90's)
Some shrewd choices there my little gandy dancing chum. I particularly like that Etienne de Crecy 'cut' and, as it happens, benefitted from hearing it out on Saturday night. I think. I greatly look forward to hearing all your selections when the next installment of your fine and impressivley illegal compilations arrives at my desk. ACR's 'Won't Stop Loving You' is contesting with 'Reap the Wild Wind' by Ultravox for song of the century today. I'll let you know how it gets on.
Pierre,
Good shout with the misery Merchant though I must say I haven't heard it. If she were here right now I'd be inclined to ask her what the fcuk she was thinking doing a cover of Morrissey's ode to miserabilsm 'Everyday is like Sunday' but, since she isn't (surprisningly), I'll leave that open to debate. What station in Vancouver plays Natalie Merchant songs? Have things improved since I left in terms of radio? It was a whole world of R 'n' B pain when I left. And lots of horrific rawk.
The Mac OS comes with iTunes built-in these days. It's an MP3 player, a CD burner--that's really handy--and has an internet radio player to boot. I've been tuned in to www.radioparadise.com lately because they seem to actually care about the music they play...most of the time...for these ears anyways.
You're a sadist aintcha Peter? You know full well I don't have access to even the most mundane PC clone and you're on here whacking off about sexy new applications for the Mac OS. You Southern types are all the same. Unrelatedly to the differences I share with Peter in this multi-cultural mosaic we paint on this little website belonging to France's least celebrated ex-pat, can someone please download the majestic tones of the bootleg that is Kylie vs. New Order, 'Can't Get you Out of My Head', please?
Thanks Handcannon.
Has anyone heard that Streets stuff yet and his Brum/Cokcney delivery? Come on Sensei, it's even better than that cutting edge track they play in the 7th inning stretch. Large.
It's almost as if I can read minds. Kylie v. New Order has been downloaded, although the quality is objectionable. As far as "Pushing things forward", done!
Reminds me of Park-life a wee bit. I wonder why that is?
Anyways, it's a goodn', but didn't make it on your newest compialtion, which is making it's way throught the postal system as we speak.
Nothing as yet on my cousin's Time Life compilation but if you'd stop sending shite by way of Rotterdam (or anywhere, Liverpool or Rome) to London you might find things travel faster.
Why is the quality of that track objectionable? What's wrong with you? Found Alpine Stars yet? That's what I thought.
I despair. No wonder I prefer the company of barnyard animals.
Apparently, there is one other train-spotting loser in the world, besides you, who knows about this Alpine Stars track. Alas, he is never online, and as a result, project "Snow Patrol" remains on War-ready status.
One he comes out of his cave, and signs on, be assured I'll be there with the heavy artillery to pillage and plunder at will.
Destruction, terror and mayhem, pass me a sucka and s--t I'll slay him.
Oops, that was not original, stolen from LL. Where's Sage the copyright gestapo when you need him.
When is your cousin's big soirée encore? This weekend. Wowsers, cutting it close, aren't we?
Tortoise and the hare, my friend, tortoise and the hare.
