Well....no Squamish Nation or North Van teams in our pool, so no looooooooooong trips to the frozen North Van fields at 8:30am for 9:30am kick off and no situations of Police surrounding a house with full on gear, guns and dogs, and us getting shimmied on over to the other side of the field, out of the line of fire!! NUTS!!

Our pool looks interesting...should be a good Season!

You're the only one....ha ha ha!
Oh man, you have no idea how happy we are to not play them. Good team...we always have good games, but man, when you have to duck and LITERALLY run for cover when you visit their home pitch...come on!

Can't wait for 1st kick off of the season

VANCOUVER JAGUARS 0 MERALOMAS B 2

Great game today...until the last 10 mins of the game.
Our sweeper slide tackles a girl in our 18 yard box (which is a risk in itself) and to our joy gets ALL BALL, but we hear the sound that made us all gasp...the Referee is awarding a PK because the chick went down (9.5 for the dive, her toes weren't pointed). It was a brutal call and the entire park knew it...they capitalized...1-0.
About 5 mins left...their striker takes a nice shot and it gets buried.
Game ends 2-0

It's unfortunate when a game is going so well, both teams battling hard, tie game, both teams are hungry and the Referee makes 1 shite call and hands the game over. BRUTAL!!

Referee was decent all game too...let us play...missed a few, but who doesn't...kept his whistle deep in the pocket when there were some good battles going on...maybe called 1 or 2 obvious fouls, but then...10 minutes left...decides to spice it up a bit and makes a bullsh*t call like that...absolutely brutal.

Anyways...there is always next Sunday.

I just meant that perhaps you might be able to convince some more Div 2 players to post things on TTP - I'm sure like the other divisions there are lots of lurkers out there.

Semiahmoo United 3 - 0 Abby Stingers

A good game. The Stingers have some good 'veteran talent' but too many subs. 22 players in total for them yesterday, I really think it prevented them from geting a good flow to the game.

As for us, we have always had problems scoring, in fact we could have had a few more in this game, but it seems for now we have the right combination of players on the field with the few veterans and young guns we have picked up at tryouts.

On to next week.

Jaguars 0 Vixens 2

Good game, but we ran out of gas in the 2nd half, and they took no time at all to capitalize. Good goals by the Vixens and our Goalie stood on her head all game, and she is not to blame for either one of them.

We had some chances, but just couldn't bury it.

We are still lookin' for our first goal of the season...yikes!!

If I would be played as a striker, I may pop a couple in
I haven't had much up front play lately...too many strikers on 1 team!

This weekend, not sure. We are in a pool of teams we have never played before, so it is tough to predict, but I will say this...WE ARE DESPERATE FOR A WIN, and a goal!! I am gonna say 3-1 for the good guys...uh...that would be us

As for the Dirty 30's...I am still goin' strong sista!!

Vancouver Jaguars 3 Vancouver Mavericks 1

Beauty of a day and we FINALLY got a "W" under our belts with this win today.

Went up 1-0 on a cross by Krysko about 10-15 minutes in...tipped in off of their own player...OG...we'll take it!!
They tie it up about 10 mins later with a nice crack outside the 18 yard box...no chance for our goalie.

Nikki with a nice chip header about 15 minutes later that yours truly snatches up...breakaway...she could....go...all...the...way...GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL!! Yes...I sank it...first goal in god knows HOW long...felt damn good!!

2nd half doesn't bring about much action...lots of passing around, brief moments of excitement, but with 30 seconds left of FT, Breann takes a throw in from yours truly and fakes her way past a couple o' D-ladies and cranks a shot from about 12 yards or so out...beauty goal!! TWEET...game over...JAGUARS WIN!!

On to the next feeding...

Good luck tomorrow ladies...I am gonna say 3-0 for Jaguars vs. Delta United B...they are last place...NOT THAT THERE'S ANYTHING WRONG WITH THAT...but we still need to keep our heads up...never under estimate any team...they are hungry for a win more than us I am sure.

JAGUARS 5 DELTA UNITED B 1

Ok, so I am not great at predicting scores, but I at least said that we were gonna win!!

Every goal by our girls (Patti, Erin, Nikki, Aly, Jordan) were stellar!! Nice, crisp passing led to all 5 goals

We go into the break with a 500 record...2 wins, 2 losses!!

Next game is vs. Breakers after Gobble Gobble break...

3 MORE DAYS!!!! Go Canucks Go!!

Vancouver Vixens vs. Van Mavericks (Vixens 5-1)
